Well, it's hardly a major blow. The Biden plan was enacted due to pressure from the GOP. He now says to the right of centre voters that he did his best, but the judge over ruled him and he's going to appeal it.
Re: "Major blow" - CNN writes shit headlines for clicks pretty often. Nothing shocking there.

But Biden's immigration policy has been pretty terrible. He pretty clearly doesn't think it is worth spending political capital on, since he won't get credit for anything anyway.
Your "he tried, but the judge overruled him" is irrelevant to most people. The narrative will be "it is an open border" no matter what he does, and cracking down hard using tools Trump used just pisses off a lot of his base (with good reason).

It's just not a focus of his administration, from all indications. The policy has mostly just been managed in response to the ebbs and flows of numbers and press coverage and there has been no vision other than "keep it mostly under control". His focus has been jobs and infrastructure and foreign policy and just doesn't seem to care about immigration much. Probably the part of his Administration that has failed to surpass expectations the most, maybe even being worse than I hoped.

Illegal immigration is down since the Trump policies recently ended

How about "Biden cages kids like dogs". Is that earth shaking?
March 23, 2021.

Do you not even read your own links.

2 months after his inauguration, which was almost derailed by Trump's attempted insurrection, and just starting to deal with the inhumane and horrific Trump 'border' policies and conditions of the prior 4 years.

You've gone from being a fool to out and out troll.

Shocked I tell you, absolutely shocked that you haven't taken over the "Biden led invasion of innocent Russia threads" front abandoned by our infamous Russian stooges here.

Why is America's immigration conversation always on migrants, illegal immigrants and assylum seekers? How about fixing the legal immigration system?
The USA is a nation founded on exploiting a controllable underclass. It started with Slavery, continued with Jim Crow, Chinese migrants(yup Canada did that one too) and has transfered to Central Americans, and other Refugees. The weathy and businesses want this to underpay, overwork people. Notice how Anericans are not charged for employing illegal immigants as a rule.

Its all a dog and pony show.

Because fixing the legal immigration system requires difficult choices and compromises while the rest involves "being tough" and racism.
Also, a large section of the GOP wants all the legal immigrants out as well.

Or simply assumes that if you're brown or black, you arrived illegally or by scamming the legal immigration system.

Why can't I recall all the posts But made complaining about Trump's immigration policy that were worse than Biden's?

You can't recall because Butler's missing history of complaining about Trump's history of ripping terrified and crying toddlers from their mom's arms and caging them in steel was a non-issue for him. He just needed a democrat foil to set him off as the undisputed champion of crocodilian tears of dismay to the inhumanity of it all.

I am surprised he hasn't set up a benefit concert thread titled, "Crocodile tears are not enough", to rally all the other right wing tards to his newfound cause.

A problem is not a problem, unless he can latch onto a democrat foil, no matter how much worse it was under Repugs.

Hypocrisy are the tools of fools.
