It was a really good movie. Apparently it’s a true story. At the end they show pictures of the real hero and the villains in real life. There’s a woman villain and the real person looks close to the actress. I didn’t know that people kidnap and then buy/sell kids to this extent.

This is a pretty honest review...For some reason known only to them the left wing MSM has tried to tie the film to Qanon theories. The reality is that it doesn't go there at all. Makes me even more suspicious of legacy media than I already am.

Jim Caviezel is excellent in this role....

It's "based on a true story", which means it could be anywhere from "pretty good account of real events" to "the main guy is based on a real person who had this job but nothing else happened remotely like this".

But "there are actual child kidnapping/smuggling rings" is definitely true.

I haven't seen anyone tie the film itself to Q-anon theories directly.
But lots of mentions how Caviezel is pretty into Q-anon. (Supposedly Ballard too somewhat, but mostly I've seen people talk about Caviezel.)

Why should mainstream media talk at length about a movie? In any case it seems to me that child trafficking (which is an extreme outlier even in a long list of crimes committed in a country) is for some reason of great interest to right wingers to the extent that they have made up stories and conspiracy theories about it. May be that is another reason this movie isn't getting as much attention. Oh, and Jim Caviezel. A right wing religious nut job. Just listen to this nonsense from him. He's completely gone off the deep end.

In my 20's I was traveling the west coast with my beat up Volks Diesel, working here and there. At the youth hostel of Vancouver I met 2 Australian girl at breakfast that had accepted the day before to get on a ride to Seattle with 2 dudes. I said hey I can bring you to Seattle instead if you want. Their dudes were not yet awake so they picked up their stuff, loaded my car and off we go. Sometimes you need to rise early to make opportunity happened. I had no plans to go to Seatle at all. Spent a week with them. It took 2 full days before one of the girl asked me if I would ever hit on them. I was waiting for the same I said. 90 seconds later I was receiving a blow job haha

My god that was freedom!

p.s. I was fired from my job in Whistler when I reported a week late. But when the dude that fired me asked why I was still smilling like crazy I told him about the girls. He hired me back

I think it's safe to say Mel Gibson was cancelled for his off the hook anti-semitism...

Trafficking is a serious issue, whether it be with kids (which I think we can all agree is probably the worse of the worst), but also adults. We keep hearing from time to time police raids in the GTA where they found trafficked women. It's one reason I would never go to an Asian provider....Every time I am tempted, I see the girls are working 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. That cannot be voluntary.

Robert Downey Jr. also made a plea to people to give Mel a chance. Apparently Gibson advocated for Downey to resurrect his career after he successfully completed rehab.

And, I'll say that if Mel were to show progress on that part, Hollywood should welcome him back. But I, and a lot of others, don't want to support an anti-semite.

Gibson may have played a part but it was Rodney Dangerfield visiting RDJ in prison that turned his life around. RDJ said the legendary comic was visibly ailing, after the meeting he couldn't stop crying. That's when he dedicated himself to sobriety.
