So, they're now suing and are asking people to donate $150K to cover the expense....

I'm going to say this: I think this stinks. As you can probably tell, I'm no fan of Rebel. BUT....what did they do that was against PayPal's terms or service? And the fact there was apparently no warning or recourse to correct this bothers me. If someone wants to spend money on Rebel merch or a subscription....fine, fill your boots. I still don't consider them a legit news source.

Now, Ezra claims this is because they are conservative, which I highly doubt. But because PayPal has given no reason (apparently), Rebel can fill the void and make up any reason they want. And like others on this board....he's also blaming Justin Trudeau for some reason....But C'est la vie.

I'd like to hear the real reason why PayPal acted in this fashion. If Rebel was breaking its terms of service, then I'm 100% comfortable with them getting dropped. I do wonder if PayPal forces disputes to go to mediation...if so, the lawsuit is deader than disco...

Silent, if the lawsuit is so solid, why are they "Grifting the Mitchells" for contributions?

Wouldn't lawyers be lining up and shouting "pick me!" to do this on contingency??

Walsh said his you tube page, was only still up to keep relevance. Walsh is not making money from you tube anymore. Same with Rebel News. RN just keeping their you tube page up, to keep relevant.

Many politicians avoid Rebel to avoid facing tough questions. OK, I'm willing to hear the many stories Rebel broke and MSMs followed up on? And I'd also like to see evidence of them asking "hard" questions to conservative politicians? The reason they avoid Rebel is because it is a toxic website, and they know if will make them look bad to moderates/independents who could vote Liberal or NDP instead of PC.

And yes, you are right about one thing. I do not watch much of Rebel. I mean, why would I? I know their coverage will either be about creating a tempest in a teapot, torqued to be outrageous or unbalanced against their political opponents, or it will just omit and uncomfortable information regarding their chosen position or politician. Guess you get a gold star.

It appears I posted something that was two years old. Someone on Twitter resurrected an old thread, and I thought it was new...

All that being said....does anyone know what happened here?
