“You have to say, like, what does canceled mean? You know - I mean, yes, if people attack you on Twitter that’s one thing - but frankly that’s just going to increase engagement. So I would just ignore it,” Musk replied somewhat prosaically.

You have to ask yourself why "woke" is the new normal - which it is in Ontario and the Northeastern and West coast US states.
The answer is clearly because most people who are running our society really like "woke". They like the ideas. They like the concepts. They like incorporating it in school, government and corporate agendas.
You have to look closely at the people who don't accept this new direction. Are those people older and angry and focusing their anger on what the younger people find normal?.....
I remember that my father HATED cannabis whenever he saw a news item about it back in the 1970's. He never tried it. He had no idea about it. But right wing media made him channel his anger and resentment in that direction. Likewise gays. My dad HATED gays. And long hair on men. He HATED that.

Sad that people don't realize that "wokeness" isn't now. It's called progress. 100 years ago, women voting was woke. The world moves on even if there are some people who are too scared of change that they hide in an idealized past.
