The shooter can claim self defence, he felt his life was in danger. Apparently the prankster kept hounding/following him after being told to leave him alone. Justifiable shoot IMO.

I've seen a lot of public prank videos, and even the lighthearted ones where it's a scare prank or something makes me nervous. In some of those scare pranks, people spill their drinks on themselves, or take a fall. What if they seriously got injured? Yeah, it's fun and games, but pranking strangers is iffy at best.

In this case though, it really appears as though the guy's pranks were much less lighthearted in nature and more aggressive, taunting or just plain annoying without being funny. Strangers, for the most part, don't want to be targeted by that. They don't want to be the source of your clicks.

I don't know the exact details of what led to this guy getting shot, but he's a rather large dude, and if he was being aggressive towards the shooter, I can totally see why things went down the way they did.

I would say Fuck Around And Find Out, but I’m vehemently anti-gun lobby. The prevalence and indiscriminate use of guns in America is alarming.

That said, I’m not against ‘content creators’ who antagonize regular people that are just out minding their business, catching hands.

All in the name of clout, these youtubers who don't want to get a real job, gridning 9 to 5, just find the easiest way to make money. Those with no real talent resort to shock videos, stupid, juvenile pranks, or videos in which they appear to be kind and caring people, giving homeless people, waiters, and strangers big sums of money.

Youtube is a very competitive platform, and it's hard to gain views and even harder to make money. It's great if you really enjoy creating your videos, regardless of the views it gets. Even as a side hustle it's fine, but it's not a good way to make a living.
