A FLORIDA couple has said they had been shot at multiple times after pulling up to the wrong house while on an Instacart delivery.

Waldes Thomas and his girlfriend, Diamond D’arville, walked onto the shooter's property in Broward County, mistakenly thinking it was the house that ordered the groceries they were delivering.

A male homeowner demanded to know who the couple was and then pulled up behind them in his truck.

“I had seen him pull out a gun and that’s when I said, ‘We got to go, we got to go,’” D'arville told local NBC affiliate WTVJ. “I was scared, I’m not going to lie.”

The pair's car was struck by several bullets, prompting them to pull over to call the Davie Police Department.

“We were there for Instacart, we were trying to tell him, and he went about it the wrong way — instead of just calling police, saying ‘I have trespassers on my lawn,’ he decided to shoot," Thomas said.

When I was in university I had a part-time job delivering meals for a restaurant. My biggest concern was there might be a maniac behind that door. Unless it is a regular customer you never know what to expect.

As a kid I sold Regal Christmas cards door to door. My biggest fear was hearing the dog after ringing the doorbell. The high pitch dogs I wasn't worried about but those loud low pitched furious dogs on the other side of the door sounded like I rang their dinner bell.

I notice at least one parent accompany their kid(s) when they go door to door selling cookies and/or trick or treating.

The only people who come to my door are 21 year female E.I.'s who want to check my furnace. One of them told me she is a student and needs the commission for tuition. LOL

The homeowner is truly fucked. Shooting at a car that is retreating [from his home] is going to get him prison for attempted murder.

As for the couple that was shot at, I blame them for not wearing the Instacart Uniform nor having clear signs on their vehicle. This might be a high crime area with similar unmarked cars robbing homes in the area. (By similar cars, I mean cars made of metal with four wheels.)
