Vancouver is pretty bad, its pretty fucked up when the police have to alert the public about their safety around a couple of individuals whom they displayed their pictures and names and believe that anyone with, or in the proximity to these individuals may be putting themselves at risk getting caught up in crossfire.
A guy was attacked with a machete last year. The cops released the attacker pending further investigation or whatever. I heard there were 4 or maybe 8 random stabbings in Vancouver per day on Global News.
Guy had his throat slashed by a "new Canadian" last week. On a Surrey bus.

The champagne liberal left cry that more mental health services are needed to stop the violence.
Most of the violence is fuelled by drugs and alcohol in people with antisocial personality disorders, or, by fetal alcohol syndrome (mostly natives).
Mental health workers cannot help those who refuse or will not adhere to treatment.
The answer is to lock them up to keep the rest of us safe.
