Who am I?

I played for three different teams in the WHA, and two different NHL teams, all of which were in Canadian cities. One of those franchises was in both leagues.

I was the first NHL captain of a Canadian-based team.

I was the captain of a WHA team in 1978-79, and the captain of an NHL team in 1979-80, but the two teams were based in different cities.
Robbie Ftorek?

Ron Chipperfield
Correct!

Ron Chipperfield played for the Vancouver Blazers, Calgary Cowboys and Edmonton Oilers in the WHA, and the Oilers and Quebec Nordiques in the NHL. He was the Oilers' first NHL captain.

Robbie Ftorek?
Nope.

Robbie Ftorek might have been the captain of the Cincinnati Stingers in 1978-79, (if they had one), as he was a former WHA MVP, and he was a captain of the Quebec Nordiques, but not in 1979-80; Marc Tardif was their first NHL captain.

You're right he didn't become captain of Quebec until the 1980-81 season, the first year of the Stastny brothers.

At the start of the second period of last night's Leafs/Habs game, Montreal had only one shot on net. It made me wonder, what were the fewest saves made by a goalie in a shutout? Also, what were the most saves made by a goalie in a shutout? Anyone want o guess the number of saves and the goalie?

Ben Srivens with the Oilers had the most had the most (59). I seem to remember that Terry Sawchuck had 0 saves in a shutout back in the late 50's.

I don't think Bernie Nicholls holds the record for highest shooting percentage in a season. I'll guess Cam Neely.
That was a mistake post,, Bernie Nicholls was the answer to one of the 6 players to score 150 points in a season.

Highest shooting precentage was a question I was considering posting, but didn't , I forgot to delete it when replying to dunkula's answer, LOL

I will now ask that question:

Minimum of 20 goals, who hold NHL record of highest shooting % in a single season?

I would say Rick Ley of Hartford/New England, but the Whalers moved to Hartford from Boston before the merger.
