Intent matters. Wonder what her motive was.
There is apparently a manifesto.

And considering the age and gender have been reported two different ways each already, I would hold back on assuming we have this person properly identified yet.

First day of a shooting or any other media violence event tends to have a lot of noise compared to signal.
Things should settle down soon enough.

I think the media needs another decision tree for Trans - although I suspect "white" over-rides everything - people. I mean you can't be more inclusive than murdering a bunch of people in the US with a gun & then being excused for it because...muh trauma.

Not an excuse but a reason. No need for citizens to have military weapons but that's the country they live in

So this was in the other thread.

tucker is worried that trans people might take the threats against them seriously and become armed.
Create the problem then whine about the results, right wingers.....

That segment by Carlson is from Friday.
The next monday, a trans shooter at a Christian school?

Can we take the Frothy Right mode of analysis and say this proves that it is a false flag organized by Fox News to terrorize Christians and push for additional crackdowns on trans people?

I mean, "it would be irresponsible not to speculate".

When people say they want to feel “understood,” - or "reason" in your words, they mean they would like to be forgiven, and not be held responsible, for what they have done

I suppose you could, but she killed 9 year old kids but not much outrage from the left, at least not yet

LOL!! You want change to the "gun culture " ???? There's only one way, the repeal of the 2nd amendment. Notice how the top Democrats avoid the subject? Oh, they LOVE saying they'll ban this or that, but when it comes down to getting to the core of the problem....silence. And thoughts and prayers. As I said: your mail is the same color as mine. They play wedge issues and you play along. You don't consume news well.
I agree they are ineffective and whatever they do is always not enough or unrelated. But conservative media immediately braces for attacks on the 2nd amendment which is what am referring to.

The reason there is next to no push to repeal the 2nd amendment is because amendments are almost impossible to pass in the US.
Last time someone tried to repeal #2 was probably 30 years ago, at the height of the crime wave.

Might we see some people returning to that now?

Maybe rhetorically, but no one thinks it would happen since the mechanism is so difficult.

More likely to pass laws, as it should be.
Will the current Supreme Court majority strike down most gun control laws, contradicting its own case law and reasoning to do so?
Probably.
But that's still a fight more likely to make progress than getting an amendment passed.

I'm sorry.
You think the left isn't upset a bunch of kids got shot?

What are you basing that on?

How about a bit of honesty? Every shooting is followed by Democrats wanting to ban something and Republicans oppose it. End result?

Well if they are, that's pretty sick but I have yet to see one of them call this a hate crime
Has anyone seen the manifesto yet?
If the manifesto reads as a hate crime, let's talk.

It may well be one.

We have no idea what this person's story is right now.

If this was a white kid who shot up a group of trans people or black kids the lefties on here would be up in arms. They are silent on the subject. I'm talking about the usual suspects on here, not you

There has to be some type of ban. American gun laws are out of control. But any attempt at banning, or even implementing stricter access to guns brings a whole host of opposition from the republicans. They stale mate the entire process every single time. So you could accuse the dems of being ineffective. But who is not allowing progress here? Its the Republicans.

I'm going to type this slowly. As long as the words "shall not be infringed" are not repealed, NOTHING, NO LAW WILL EVER CHANGE ANYTHING because it will always be unconstitutional. Amendments are difficult, but they're possible.
