The largest global porn company Mindgeek, which owns PornHub, Brazzers and others, has been acquired by an Ottawa based private equity firm Ethical Capital partners (ECP).
ECP is owned by criminal defense lawyers, a retired RCMP superintendent with ties to the cannabis retail industry and a public relations expert, among others.

What made Pornhub was the amateur content. I was never a fan, but there amateur community is what brought in the cash, which is why the got singled out.

The historical and current business model, how they view themselves, etc. is fascinating, and disturbing. And yes, I've watched free videos on Pornhub, but this is an excellent documentary.

Equally amusing that Ethical Capitalists are about to take over Mindgeek. With serious legal heat breathing down their necks, MindGeek was about to go the way of backpage.
