It's the $500 Canada housing benefit form. Very quick and easy to fill and gets $500 in your pocket in 4 days.

We need a few million new purpose built apartments.
Much of the western world ruling class are either too affluent or too
indifferent to the needs of their people to recognize the merit of public
housing. Hong Kong one of the wealthiest place in Asia would see nearly
half of its population homeless if not for its low cost public housing
estate. We do need affordable housing for the low-income and a good
portion of the middle class so they can live with dignity very badly. I am
afraid with our debt growing and inflation rising construction of public
housing on a massive scale will become costly prohibitive.

More purpose built apartments are needed for the working poor but also for the growing single population.
Even couples who are not necessarily poor, but in tricky marital situations, might find a rental less stressful.
They have hardly built any of these compared to the 1960s and 1970s, when we had a smaller population.

Since someone mentioned Hong Kong, it should also be mentioned that their income tax rate max out at 17%.

How can anyone who qualifies for this manage to afford this hobby? Unless you do a lot of cash business and only report a fraction of your earnings...

Who earns less than 20k a year? And how do they manage to survive on that?
People who are unable to get full time employment for one reason or another. People on welfare, people who got screwed out of their retirement money. Peiple in between jobs...

With greater and greater difficulty, frequent trips to the food banks and very few leisurly activities.
