That's to disarm the populace, easier obvious targets. People are lying to themselves if they think gun control really works.
I have friends that guns, every single one of them is responsible. In fact, one friend won't deviate during the ride to the gun range and back home.
You have to go straight to the range and back, no stopping at a friend's or family member, no excuses.

I guess some people really think a criminal is going to buy a gun legally.

Oh I agree. I am not talking about the guy who shot at the 65 year old guy because I think the old guy was right in asking a speeding SUV to slow down.

On my morning run yesterday I was told by a crankpot that I should run on the road before I knock someone over. He yelled it out as I ran past. I laughed and kept on going. It was early morning and hardly anyone on the side walk, you can't help but just laugh things off because it's not worth doing anything more.

I know. I was walking downtown when my phone rang and I apparently stepped in front of someone briefly. The guy was like "walk straight" lol. I told him to "go around because I dont have eyes in the back of my head" lol.

The current Liberal proposal to ban, restrict and confiscate legally owned firearms in Canada from licensed responsible sport shooters and hunters will do nothing to prevent criminals from say, SHOOTING AN OLD MAN WALKING HIS DOG with guns obtained through illegal means like being smuggled in from another Country.
This government is to soft on crime. Focus on tougher laws.If this guy gets caught he’ll be out of jail or Juvy in 2 years.

I dont know how this weapon was acquired by the suspect. However, the majority of mass shooters use legally acquired firearms.

Also the tough on crime laws, only result in punitive and oppressive laws that never work. It also disproportionately victimizes racialized men and you now have crime that is a product of the system. People who call for tough on crime laws only do so because it is the lazy option than to actually investigate and take steps to resolve endemic and entrenched causes of crime.
