Tate and Peterson are people who make money off of incels, by portraying themselves to be men who the incels aspire to be. They think that dominating or being domineering douchebags is attractive. It is not. Being a person who is dependable, supportive and with whom women or in general people, actually feel emotionally safe, (and Tate is not that kind of guy who would make women feel emotionally safe), is what makes for a good man. Anything else shows a deep set feeling of insecurity that said men need to work on. These insecure men often times call themselves "alpha", which they are so not.

The majority of women worldwide happily subscribe to his cultural values. North American women are a small subset of women, and even many of them prefer traditional gender roles (in fact almost all of them do on a selective basis - i.e. most want a tall man with a high status job). It's not politically correct to be a traditional woman. It's also very difficult to assume traditional gender roles under current financial burdens for an average couple, even if it is their preference.
That's exactly what Tate and Peterson advocate. Being dependable, protective, healthy, strong, learned, supportive, providing. The only people interpreting this as "dominating douchebags" are people like yourself. If "alpha" means becoming the 1% through effort, sacrifice, risk, competition, learning, and achievement then they're both alpha and they're advocating the same for others.
Both men will be pilloried by male losers and radical feminists that can't stand that their worldview is not only being challenged but easily debunked.

Peterson is trying to convince individuals who identify as incels to make themselves more attractive to women.
He states this '' You're a young man and all the women are rejecting you, who's got the problem? If all the women are rejecting you, its you.''
He tries to convince them to get a better education. Get a better job. Dress better. He's trying to give an encouraging word to these demoralized men.

While I would not advocate for being "nice" all the time, I would certainly not advocate being a douche all of the time either. You are right: "incel" is a cop out term, but not for the reasons you think. It is a term that basically admits defeat, which certainly should not be done. But, people like Taint are taking advantage of these "incels" and telling them to basically hate women and treat them like garbage; much like Fuentes and his followers are doing. They are all mentally ill and in real need of help.
When I was much younger, I had convinced myself that I was a loner and nobody cared about me. Thankfully, I outgrew that phase by interacting with people, as uncomfortable as that was. Today, I treat SPs like people and not commodities. Yes, there will be days when I feel like absolute shit, but I would NEVER let garbage like Taint convince me that it is the fault of women. That's a coward's way out.....
Taint (and by extension you) seems to think that there are only two choices in life: win or lose. That's a simpleton's thinking and is dangerous to his followers.

He doesn't tell anyone to treat women like garbage. He tells them that a man's role is to protect his woman, provide for her, and lead her.
He tells them that the men who treat women like garbage are low value men, and the women that accept it are low value women.
