Mbappe looks lost, he's not getting any service. The Argies have put a stranglehold of the Frenchie midfield, Tagliafico has put the thumbscrews on Griezmann.

I'm old, I remember when National Lampoon had a racy magazine, Richard Nixon was a gay nudist. They also had a Tagliafico centerfold.

pfft France 0 shot in first half...
ya that sums it up. This match was over hyped, it does look like a French B team against a good Argentine team.
Zero sog, no counter attacks to speak of, and they obviously lack a captain/play maker who can rally them at this point.

The FIFA fix is in, Tagliafico took out Thuram's shuns, he didn't even touch the ball...that was a clear cut penalty.

Have the frenchies guillotined the Argie head, it about time Deschamps brought in Camavinga and Coman. Messi hates going against Coman (Bayern), he always put a gigantic burr up his ass.

The Frenchies can win this.

Argentina seems to have a habit of collapsing in the final 15 minutes. Now we have a game...anything can happen. I just hope it doesn't go to penalty kicks.

Eduardo Camavinga just turned 20, you'll be hearing a lot about him. At age 19 he won the CL with Real Madrid. With Griezman playing so well, Camavinga sat on the bench. He brings a whole different dynamic than Greizman and he's smarter than Pogba.

It's not that insane.

Two observations…

-Messi is an exciting player

-the amount of diving and faking injuries is something else

It is interesting to note that Italy and Argentina had the longest unbeaten streak in recent years and they both went on to win Euro and the world cup.

Who do you guys got for the Golden ball(best player of the tournament), best goalkeeper, best young player(21yrs old or younger) and best coach for this world cup?

I got Messi, Bono(Morocco), Fernandez and maybe Deschamps since he had so much things going against him . It would be interesting to see if he decides to continue with France or if Zidane will take over.

same I thought it was over at half time🙈
Mbappe aside (and considering all the injuries + flu cases) this was an inconsistent French side,
no shots on goal for most of the match, then 2sog and 2 goals lol

They sprung to life in the 80th minute and had their chances in the dying minutes of extra time
but the Argentines were better prepared for PKs and had the better GK imo.

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Greece
Watched the last 20 minutes of regulation time and then the rest. Soccer isn't my favourite.

Have to say what I did see was fantastic.

Hate to be a goalie on those penalty kicks....

Full marks to Argentina for a hard fought win and dodging that come back by France.
