I'm considering going this route. Probably saves a lot of money and better for your health.

Also, with grocery delivery such as Instacart, there really isn't much of a need for a car.

However, I myself deliver for Instacart, and found that I can make $1,000 a month by doing deliveries. Basically, I just work whenever I'm bored. Sometimes I need to go to the grocery store anyway, and so buying customers' groceries on the same trip and delivering them for $15-20 is a great way to make money.

Also, the lack of freedom from not having a car is something I may not get used to.
Its seriously healthy cuz you get that cardio in. If you are delivering instacart, you can even get a trolley so you can just walk without carrying something.

The only time I miss a car is when I have a vet emergency which is quite rare. Especially when it happens in the middle of the night.

try to cut one side of rubber with a blade to loosen up so that you can pull it out. if you need a a used but still functional ignition coil I have extra at home just message me from my 2006 BMW
I thought of this route.

Another route I'm thinking of is using gorilla glue on the old coil and inserting it in. Hopefully it will be strong enough to pull out the rubber boot.

Come to think of it, that's a horrendous idea. The coil could get stuck in the chamber.

I worked at a BMW dealership and once the warranty is done the mechanic, said sale your car unless you get extended warranty.

I purchased the car 6 years ago for $10,000. Thought it was a g reat deal because it was a $50,000 car.

However, it's been nothing but one repair after another, and each repair is double what a nromal car would cost. I ended up paying $15,000 in repairs, so $25,000 total so far in this car. Would have been better to lease a brand new one.

Oh man my friend did the same thing. Bought a BMW for like 3000 bucks when we were in school.

It was such trash he even tried just leaving it in a parking lot and police eventually charged him 1500 bucks lol.

He ended up selling it for 400 bucks lmao. He spent more on gas money on that car.

I myself owned a Mercedes C350 coupe and ended up paying through the nose (1000 bucks a month).

Gotta be careful before you buy any of these german cars man.

Many years ago I had a german car that was out of warranty. It blew a tranny. (That was before blowing a tranny meant what it means today). Cost me $5000. Since then I only lease and never looked back. As Jewish people say: “ if a problem can be resolved with money it’s not a problem. It’s just expenses.”
I have a similar approach. I had clutch and transmission fail, and head gascet, etc.

Now I trade my cars in before the warranty runs out.

German made cars are notorious for promising more than it can deliver. I can’t remember why that comes to mind. :ROFLMAO:

this just tells me you dont care about your car. you'll do anything to it. without regard of any consequences or damage to it.

I left the heat gun on the engine bay to warm up the rubber. After only 30 seconds, I noticed, to my shock, that the heat gun had melted the plastic.

this part tells me everything. just leaving a heat gun on an engine can do all kinds of damage to an engine.

just take the bus.

You bought this BMW despite people telling you they are money pits. Almost three years ago, I said you should buy a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord if you wanted a dependable reasonable cost to repair vehicle.

Next time, listen to people who actually know something about cars instead convincing yourself the generation of BMW you were buying is reliable.

10th time?

Cracked windhshield twice while trying to replace blades
Shattered entire rear window of my Mazda 6 while trying to replace struts on the hatchback
damaged engine when overfilled with oil
damaged wiring while trying to install aftermarket shifter, causing it to lose ability to manually shift gears
almost destroyed engine and made huge mess in engine and driveway when I tried to change oil but didn't tighten the oil filter cap enough
damaged car when trying to jack up it up on plastic part of car
broke the mechanism used to secure the headlight bulb while trying to change the headlight bulb. The bulb is now secured with duct tape.
melted ignition coil housing while trying to heat up the rubber boot with heat gun

So, it's actually 9 times. But that's not including the five or six times I scraped my car and the numerous times I've run over curbs and damaged the bumper and bottom of the car. I've also lost several tires by slamming into curbs.

This misfiring of the cylinder - is there any chance it could just be the sparkplug getting needing replacement?

Possibly, but my car has a history of the coils going bad. Every time the check engine light is on, it's an engine coil, not the spark plug. The car had an oil leak, and it went into the coils, damaging them. I've replaced at least 8 of them so far.

I know this doesn’t help your situation but out of all the vehicles I have ever owned, my 5 series bmw was by far worst vehicle I’ve ever owned. Problem after problem and the transmission went at 120,000km. I did take care of it as well. My Chevy work van that I beat the shit out of is way more reliable. My buddy is a bmw mechanic and he says there is a reason he is a bmw mechanic Lol

Should have bought Japanese, Stinkynuts. German efficiency isn't what it used to be.
