It's funny how they have the "new tech" to find someone from 1983 but this "new tech" can't sometimes identify murder suspects from year 2021. Murders that occur in broad daylight in downtown with cameras supposedly everywhere and multiple witnesses.

Not really that complicated, it's called DNA. The hard part is trying to find a match when there's nothing on file. What's changed over time is that more and more DNA gets put into a database due to ancestry services like 23andme and there's a greater likelihood of coming across a related person.

These sickos seldom stop murdering and raping. If he has been in Moosonee for years God knows how many more murders and rapes he has committed ? Probably a bunch of indigenous women when the arrest probability is much lower for multiple reasons.

Seeing as the arrested party is probably 100% sure to be guilty if the prison population killed the suspect while in jail I would give them a shout-out.

Tough to get semen samples from downtown shootings…

Criminals rarely do a few crimes and then stop. If they do it is because they are in prison, been hit by a car and paralyzed, took too much drugs and blew their mind out from the inside or killed by fellow skumola. The GTA landscaper that killed men and buried them in flower pots is suspected to have killed dozens more. He was only caught at an advanced age and all the known murders were fairly recent. There were probably many more when he was younger.

Some American serial killers did confess to additional murderers to cut a deal as did Canadian Clifford Olson.

I can think of two other women murdered in Yorkville. They are Nancy Eaton and Lisa Posluns. You might recognize their last names.

The 'new tech' is accessing DNA databases to find a family match. Then they go back to leg work. So prepare yourself for that random day when they show at your door and ask you for a DNA sample. "Just to rule you out...."
