Somehow I would be willing to pay more if the car had 10,000km on it.

Cars are a collection of moving parts, and if they don't move a bit once in a while, they can stop moving smoothly.

Then there will likely be the issue of dried and cracked rubber lines in a car of this vintage.

IMO there will still be at least $2k of incidentals needed in this 'pristine' car if all the dice roll in your favour.

I tend to agree with you. Cars were made to move not sit idly. However if it was maintained properly over the years like it were being driven regularly then I would be more confident in the purchase. Back in the day I owned the next generation of Supra MK4 and it was a fine automobile. Those are going for $60-$100K USD today.

Unfortunately the 'Targa Top' reduces the top speed, the body is less rigid and you get vibrations. They actually put a placard on the driver's door reminding you of it.
