Who honestly cares about other peoples kids?
So sick and tired of hearing about the poor kids and their parents
You have kids deal with it period . As someone that doesn’t have kids I’m shocked how much money the parents get from the gov just because you had kids
In this country people have the right to negotiate
Is the raise they are asking for crazy yes for sure , is the work generally unskilled yes for the most part but they have a union and that’s their right . I could care less about what the problems with be for parents because of a strike ! The Go employees are on strike this morning are they allowed to strike or is it ok for the gov to just force them back to work
excessive wage demands will just continue to fuel inflation
That is something you will care about

the unions drove manufacturing out of North America
Now they focus on milking the cash cow governments
Ontario is burdened with 380 B in debt , primarily used to enrich public sector unions instead of building roads, bridges, schools hospitals transit etc
This cannot continue

Pirate profiteering fuels inflation, which is something that they, he and especially you champion.

Profiteering drove manufacturing offshore.
Corporations focus on milking and plundering governments.
Debt is primarily used to shower the private sector and corporate special interests with riches.
This cannot continue.

Now, GO Transit being on strike is going to be a real pain in the ass...I support them more than the Teacher's Union.
Let me impersonate a neanderthal:. The government should not do public transit. I drive everywhere.

Not much obviously...:)

Well....as I mentioned before we can agree to disagree...we are all entitled to our opinions...I to work for myself and hire people and believe I am pretty fair...but still believe if you dont like it you can leave...
Ford just announced he is willing to rescind the legislation including removal of section 33 if the strike stops and they all return for a fair deal. I guess they realized the majority of the electorate did not agree with his heavy hand eh??

Good move on Ford's part.

Good move on Ford's part.

He caved, cratered, fell apart, melted, crashed and ate his own shit!

62% blamed the piece of shit Premier for this disaster of his own choosing.

He needs to resign.

I listened to Premier Hogwash and he sounded much like Putin. He stated, "we had no choice", "we were forced to employ back to work legislation and Section 33".

Firefighters can’t strike. Cops can’t strike. Paramedics can’t strike.etc. All essential services. So is educating our youth. 12% a year. Go suck a bag of dicks. You can all be replaced overnight.

When I was living in Montreal, there was such an oversupply of teachers that many turned to selling real estate. Unlike rocket scientists and heart surgeons, it doesn't take much brains and/or skills to be a teacher. I wouldn't be surprised if there is currently an oversupply of teachers in Ontario.

Premier Ford has an impossible task. He has to try to satisfy greedy unions and still maintain fiscal responsibility. Unions don't give a damn about the province's fiscal situation.

But they all enjoy binding arbitration, which Premier Eat Shit denies to CUPE.

You can't have your shit and eat it to, except of course if you're Premier Shit!

Why would they. We live in a capitalistic system. Loblaw does not give a damn about their customers financial problems.

Companies are free to optimize their profits. Why should workers not be free to optimize their salaries?

Then why don't you write to your MPs demanding to make teachers an essential service? I am sure most teachers would love to be classified as an essential service.

You do realize these folks on strike at the moment are not teachers right?? You are aware to be a teacher you require a University degree and 2 years of teacher's college right??

Luckily the vast majority of Ontarians, 62% vs. 38%, still believe in fairness, democratic process, the constitution and collective bargaining process, none of which Premier Shit believes in.

Ford is wallowing in a sea of shit, totally of his own making.

He needs to resign because he has lost the trust of the decent, fair and honest people of Ontario and also has been without question totally exposed as a fraud who is totally and solely beholden, NOT to the people of Ontario, but to his corporate interest bedfellows.

To many, many of us, he is who we always thought he was, a bully who is willing to steamroll and demolish Ontario on behalf of his corporate overlords.

Just think about it:

1) Every act and action he taken on housing, land use and development has been totally in lock step NOT with the people of Ontario but of property developers. He is their parrot. Basically. unerring and unending word for word recital of developers wish lists enacted by Ford.

2) Health Care: defund > create crises > move to privatize.

3) Education: defund > create crises > move to privatize

4) Workers: Never mind his bullshit about, "I'm the greatest friend of the working man" nonsense. Look at his actions.

5) LTC: Absolute disaster with for-profit corporate operators. His solution? Double and triple down on funding for, for-profit operators and insulate them from legal consqences.

6) Child Care: Worst uptake of for-profit operators into the Federally funded National Child Care plan. His solution? Water down to basically zilch the requirements for-profit operators to operate by the financing rules.
