Easy Andy.
Not correct - The origins of the Saturday Night Specials are from WWII. Originally they were weapons made in clandestine machine shops used by resistance groups to fight the Nazis. Most of these crudely made weapons made with inferior materials not suited to firearms manufacture and came mostly from France and Italy. After the was some were imported to America and other countries legally and illegally. Some were even sold in tabloid and comic book ads in the 1950s and 60s. for as little as $7. Until the Gun Control Act of 1968 was passed, it was very easy to buy and possess a pistol in the USA. Some of the Saturday Night Specials were poorly made and may blow up in the users hand. The materials used were not suited for firearms. Some were even made of cast zinc alloys that can be bent by hand.

Answer : False

The Mongols were no more ruthless or blood thirsty than any other conquering army. The reason Gengjis Kahn and his heirs were able to achieve the biggest empire in history in just a few generations was because there were few established countries at that time, the tribes joined one by one as the empire moved forward. Joining the Mongol empire was so much more desirable than the conditions they were under. As they paid less taxes, had pensions for the poor. weak and elderly. and had freedom of religion. The Mongols were seen as a superior race because they brought skills like metal working, written language, archery, falconery to the new lands. Asia was the most advance continent at the time.

The reason many people have the impression that Genghis Kahn and the Mongols were ruthless blood thirsty killers was because they were deliciated poorly by the Hollywood films of the 1940s and 1950s.
