Salah Hamouri, the Palestinian-French lawyer and researcher who went on a hunger strike to protest his imprisonment without charge by Israeli authorities for the past six months, has now been linked to a Palestinian terrorist group.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.- and E.U.-designated terrorist organization, inadvertently revealed on Sept. 25 that Hamouri—a lawyer and field researcher for the Palestinian NGO Addameer—is a member of the PFLP. Until now, Hamouri has strongly disputed such claims when Israel has leveled them.

The information was made public after the PFLP included Hamouri among 30 of its members who were being held in administrative detention and went on a hunger strike last week to pressure Israel into releasing them.

The article on the official PFLP Lebanon website explicitly names Hamouri, as does a different article on the main PFLP website from Sept. 28.

Hamouri has been championed as a human rights defender by numerous NGOs and U.N. officials, including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, U.N. Special Rapporteur for the Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese and more.

What a pile of steaming garbage.

1) Your continual excuses for Iran is part or your obsessive war mongering against Israel existing.
2) BDS is not for peace. You can not show a single quote from them showing they endorsee any peace plan. The only thing they endorse is the elimination of Israel.
3) You pathetically scream racism simply because you can't defend them but your crusade has you wanting to. Hamas is a designated terrorist entity according to Canada because they plan, praise, and commit acts of terror.
4) One of Israel's leading parties is campaigning on the idea of a two State peace. Meanwhile Abbas was just whining at the UN about the Balfour Declaration and Hamas is 100% clear that they will never accept a permanent peace deal that includes Israel continuing to exist.

All you have are insanely biased tweets and an innate sense of elitism that has you demanding Palestinians do what you want against their will and refusing to actually hold them accountable for their choices.
Welcome back, I see nothing has changed.

1) I'm not excusing Iran of anything, I hope the protests are successful just as I hope that the JCPOA is renewed and they are confirmed to still not building a bomb, 30 years after Israel claimed they were. Iran should be held to the same human rights standard as all countries, including Canada and Israel. And will you stop accusing everyone of genocide, now its Iranians too? Its starting to sound incredibly hateful and racist.
2) BDS is for peace, just not the peace plan you claim to back while you defend it being destroyed. And again with the genocide talk. What kind of Israel do you think can't exist without apartheid? Is that a tacit admission that Israel can only exist as an apartheid state? BDS says only what HRW and Amnesty say.
3) Israel commits way more of the same acts that you call 'terrorism' yet you defend them every time Israel does them. You use the term 'terrorist' as a way to dehumanize Palestinians, as a racist attack. You support acts you call 'terrorism' in the form of the shooting of civilians at the Great March of Return just as you defend targeting civilians in Gaza in 2014, 2020 and 2022. All acts that are way worse than those of Hamas you call 'terrorism'. Support deescalation, peace talks, equal human rights, the vote for everyone, full democracy. And stop supporting apartheid.
4) If only one party is campaigning on the two state solution that should be confirmation that its dead.

You know, instead of claiming everyone is genocidal you should do a little chill and netflix.
What a little of Mo and see if you can understand that Palestinians are actually humans, that they are just people.
You might even laugh a little and feel just a little less hate.

Welcome back, I see nothing has changed.
...
I know. I have no expectation that you will ever change your blindly partisan views on Israel. You seem to be happy logging in here 12 times a day but sorry, I'm not going to cancel a work trip just to give you an outlet to continue spewing your nonsensical idiocy all day long.

Iran is enriching uranium to 60% with no civilian purpose, hiding nuclear sites from the UN in violation of the NPT, and continuing to build massive advanced enrichment capacity for one civilian reactors but all you do is complain that Israel has had nukes for more than half a century. Everything Iran is doing violates your repeatedly stated ideals but since they are as obsessed with Israel as you are, you just keep making excuses.

I have challenged you repeatedly and of course you can not show me any BDS statement where they support any peace other than the elimination of Israel. They don't. As has been said by many democratic governments, they are actually counterproductive to peace and a home for racists.

And even in this thread you have repeatedly tried to justify Hamas terrorism and war crimes, the latest when you tried to excuse Hamas rockets. They are a terrorist organization who is adamantly against peace as well as pushing a fundamentalist version of religion and abusing human rights of the people in Gaza that you pretend to care about.

Right now, Israeli politicians are campaigning on the idea of a two State peace and they have been meeting with the EU on getting the peace process started again. Even Al Jazeera is reporting on it.

Meanwhile Hamas is still threatening Israel because Jews want to visit holy sites and Abbas is still whining to the UN that the Balfour Declaration happened. Here is an actual opportunity to move towards peace but you don't give a shit because of your obsessive hatred that meets many of the criteria of Canada's definition of anti-semitism.

p.s. Funny that with all the infantilization you do towards Palestinians and their actions and the way you ignore their opinions while demanding they do what you want, you accuse me of not seeing Palestinians as humans.

For 30 years Israel has said Iran is just six months away from building the bomb.
For 30 years Israel has tried to get the US to start a war with Iran, now by helping derail the JCPOA and then claiming that Iran isn't abiding by the treaty that the US cancelled.
You're just warmongering.

If don't want Iran to build nukes get them to renew the JCPOA.
But you just want war.

I have challenged you repeatedly and of course you can not show me any BDS statement where they support any peace other than the elimination of Israel.
BDS supports the end of apartheid.
Its only you that now claims that Israel can't exist without apartheid. This 'elimination' nonsense is just more anti-Palestinian hate speech.
BDS uses the South Africa model, a country that is at peace and free of apartheid.
That is a plan to end the apartheid colonial occupation through peaceful boycotts, sanctions and divestment.
Its a peace plan, but you don't want peace, you want apartheid.

And even in this thread you have repeatedly tried to justify Hamas terrorism and war crimes, the latest when you tried to excuse Hamas rockets.
No I didn't.
Stop lying.

Right now, Israeli politicians are campaigning on the idea of a two State peace and they have been meeting with the EU on getting the peace process started again. Even Al Jazeera is reporting on it.
From your article. Sigh.
Monday’s meeting marked the first of its kind between the two sides since July 2012. But while talks have resumed, the prospects for peace look slim.
Israel’s military occupation of the West Bank is now in its 55th year. The last real peace talks ended in 2009, and critics say growing Israeli settlements in the West Bank and elsewhere undermine any hopes for a two-state solution.

Meanwhile Hamas is still threatening Israel because Jews want to visit holy sites
I love the fact that you claim that you support the two state solution then out the other side of your mouth you try to claim that its all Israel and Israelis have a right to all of Palestine.

p.s. Funny that with all the infantilization you do towards Palestinians and their actions and the way you ignore their opinions while demanding they do what you want, you accuse me of not seeing Palestinians as humans.
I support BDS, a Palestinian movement.
You are the one that refuses to accept that Palestinians are deserve even basic human rights.

The two state solution is long dead.

So your usual random tweets and your inversion of reality. All you do is spew whatever you think makes Israel look bad.

BDS is clear about not endorsing peace yet you lie about what that Palestinian movement says. Iran is clearly screwing around with their nuclear program and all you do is whine about Israel. Israel is openly talking about peace talks and you make excuses for why there shouldn't be any and instead of criticizing groups like Hamas who openly admit to targeting civilians, you pretend it is racist to call them terrorists.

You really are a joke.

Its clear that you are stuck in the past and think only the dead two state solution is 'endorsing peace'. That's the view of old people.
Israel and the settlements killed the two state solution, now this is the best way forward towards peace.

Israel is not interested in peace, they are interested in colonizing more of Palestine with 'facts on the ground' while they try to stave of international action with fake peace talks.
20 years of Oslo and all they did was take more land.

By 'visiting' Al-Aqsa as you like to call it.

Or just plain terrorism.

Spanish Government Rules BDS is Discriminatory

Spain’s fight to eradicate antisemitism notched two significant legal victories this week.

On Monday, the Supreme Court of Spain ruled that the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Israel is discriminatory, upholding a lower court decision from a case the Action and Communication on the Middle East (ACOM) brought to nullify “Apartheid Free Zones” established in 2016 by the City Council of Reinosa in Cantabria when it endorsed BDS.

On Wednesday, the Congress of Deputies, Spain’s parliament lower house of parliament, advanced legislation that would ban organizations engaging in antisemitic activities as defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism from receiving public grants and government contracts and subsidies. The IHRA definition includes instances of anti-Zionism among its examples.

If passed by the Senate, the bill, first proposed by the Assembly of Madrid, will effectively prevent pro-BDS groups from receiving state support.

We are delighted with the decision by the Spanish Parliament to take a strong stand against BDS and declare its activities as antisemitic,” ACOM president Angel Mas said in a statement issued on Thursday. “Moreover, together with the Supreme Court decision, a strong message has been delivered that BDS is discriminatory and antisemitic. I am not sure there has been a more forceful legislative and judicial push back against BDS anywhere in the world where this antisemitic movement exists.”

The move comes after the head of the city government in the Spanish capital Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, urged in July that the promotion of the boycott campaign against Israel be considered a hate crime.

According to El País, members of the left-wing party, Unidas Podemos (United We Can), largely opposed the bill, with 33 voting against it and 7 abstaining. Members of three other parties, Esquerra Republicana (Republican Left of Catalonia), EH Bildu (Basque County Unite), and BNG (Galician Nationalist Bloc) refused to vote.

In June, the parliament in the Spanish region of Catalonia voted in favor of a resolution denouncing Israel as an “apartheid” state and urging international sanctions against Jerusalem.

“This initiative speaks perversely of the explicit will to censure NGOs and administrations,” Unidas Podemos Deputy Antoni Gomez-Reino said after it passed. Accusing Israel of “violating human rights,” he demanded that it be sanctioned.

In response, People’s Party Deputy Pilar Marcos affirmed the measure’s role in “the strategy against antisemitism,” an initiative motivated by the European Union’s call for all member countries to adopt the IHRA definition.

“Antisemitism today hides under the cloak of anti-Zionism and the denial of the existence of the State of Israel,” Marcos said.

Yes. As does Canada. As does the UN. And embarrassingly for someone who decides to speak for Palestinians, they show even less support for the One State farce that no Palestinian leaders support. Hamas openly endorses elimination and ethnic cleansing of Jews and the PA continually finds excuses to avoid talking because after decades of promising Israel's elimination, they worry that they won't be able to convince a populace against it. The same Palestinian polling that shows the vast majority of Palestinians hate a One State peace has roughly half of Palestinians supporting attacks on Israeli civilians inside Israel.
1665102976969.png

Of course a significant part of the lack of progress is Abbas avoiding opportunities to work towards peace and Hamas rejecting the idea outright (but you continually don't think Palestinians ever merit criticism).

And thanks for admitting that BDS has no interest in promoting any peace deal, whether One State, Two State, a Federal state or anything else. You clearly show your war mongering here.

p.s. Thanks for proving your absolutely racist double standard that says Jews quietly visiting their holiest site as arranged by the Islamic Authority is actually terrorism (while also claiming it is racist to call Hamas a terrorist group).

Old poll, basketcase.
When asked about support for specific policy choices to break the current deadlock, 63% supported joining more international organizations; 55% supported resort to non-violent resistance; 48% supported return to armed confrontations and intifada; 46% supported dissolving the PA; and 23% supported abandoning the two-state solution and embracing a one state solution for Palestinians and Israelis

Its 55 years of occupation and apartheid, there are no peace talks and the Israeli government is still taking Palestinian land.
Yet you're somehow surprised that Palestinians want to resist the occupation and the illegal settlements.
The settlers are supposed to be civilians but they keep attacking Palestinian civilians with the backing of the IDF, making them appear to be militant terrorists.

So far in 2022, IOF attacks killed 133 Palestinians, including 93 civilians: 27 children, 8 women, 2 Palestinians killed by Israeli settler and the rest were activists; 15 of them were assassinated. Thirty-two of those killed, including 19 civilians: 8 children and 3 women were in the latest Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip. Also, 1,392 Palestinians were wounded in IOF’s attacks, including 215 children, 40 women, and 25 journalists all in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. Moreover, 4 Palestinian detainees, including a woman, died in the Israeli prisons

Yet this violence you defend and instead think the real issue is that Palestinians are considering resistance.

Just end apartheid if you want to end the violence.
End the occupation.
Give Palestinians full human rights.

Or let BDS do the job you refuse to do.

Jews quietly visiting their holiest site

Thanks for clarifying part of the problem

For example:

I'm sure you'll explain to me that suicide bombings are actually a good way to promote peace and human rights

You do a really good job of proving my point. Your elitism clearly doesn't care what they Palestinians actually want
Amazing how easily you parrot expressly racist talking points. As much as I dislike the nationalist settler movement, Jews quietly walking around outside a shared holy site is not an attack or a desecration.

Keep pushing the unproductive and hateful BDS. You're finding yourself on the wrong side of history as country after country condemns them for their hate motivated anti-peace campaign.

The Flag March is hardly 'Jews quietly walking around'.
But really, how surprising is that you defend militant Jewish supremacists violently attacking Palestinians.
I'd say its to be expected, really all you're missing is donating to the cause with a few pallets of tiki torches.

Antisemitic terror apologist Mohamed Hadid compares Zionists to Hitler in new Instagram post

Mohamed Hadid, the Palestinian-Jordanian father of Gigi, Bella and Anwar Hadid, is no stranger when it comes to anti-Zionism on his social media account. In one of his latest Instagram posts shared Thursday with his audience of 1.3 million followers, he compares Zionist Jews to Hitler.

The post was a picture from his son Anwar's recent interview with GQ Magazine paired with a long caption, the first sentence of which read: "A true Palestinian story and we have 10 million voices out there...show your blood."

Writing about how proud he was of his son, Hadid abruptly changed direction, writing: "Hitler labeled the Jews as terrorists and the Germans believed and cowardly did the crime of the century.

"And the Zionists labeled the Palestinians terrorists in their own land. Fear no longer, the Zionists are the terrorist in our own land."

He continues, "Show your Palestinian flag show your bloodline. Hide no longer come out if you want to be free...come out and say you are proud to be a Palestinian. They have done us enough harm."

"Comparing Jews and the Jewish nation to Nazi Germany is deemed antisemitic by the IHRA working definition of antisemitism," Liora Rez, executive director of StopAntisemitism told The Jerusalem Post. "Hadid’s ongoing rants demonstrate why it’s crucial for social media companies, publications, and corporations to adopt and enforce IHRA as inflammatory comments like his do nothing but endanger the lives of Jews around the world."

Is that any different than labelling Palestinians as 'antisemitic terrorists' or 'antisemitic terror apologists'?
Oh yeah, it is. One you're allowed to say and the other you're not.
Otherwise its both sides using the most hateful language they can.

Really, both sides have to tone it down and deescalate.
Just end apartheid and learn to live with each other without resorting to hate speech.

The Flag March is hardly ...
But you were complaining about Jews walking quietly around Temple Mount/Al Aqsa despite approval from the Islamic Authority. Just another case where you happily parrot statements from racist religious fundamentalists as long as they are anti-Israel and you ignore what Muslim leadership actually say.

BDS is not for peace and country after country is openly stating what is obvious. People who hate Jews being in the region always get your blind support.

It's laughable that you keep claiming it's racist to refer to designated terrorist entities as terrorist if their Palestinian and say criticizing Iran is war mongering while you go on endlessly with bullshit claims about Israel being terrorists and endlessly trying to delegitimize it's existence.

And I see you refuse to comment on Hamas and other Palestinian leaders condemning a guy simply because he criticized suicide bombing.

No, that's just your term for the Flag March and any time settlers storm Al Aqsa with the backing of the IDF.
You just call it 'Jews walking quietly', even when they're yelling 'death to Arabs'.

BDS is not for peace and country after country is openly stating what is obvious.
You're entitled to your personal opinion, of course.
But its a bit like David Duke saying that BLM is violent and hate white people.

It's laughable that you keep claiming it's racist to refer to designated terrorist entities as terrorist if their Palestinian
No, its accurate.
If you were really concerned about terrorism or the targeting of civilians you'd be screwed, because you'd have to admit that Israel commits way more acts that fit that definition.
So instead you refuse to apply it to Israeli acts of what you should call 'terrorism'.

And I see you refuse to comment on Hamas and other Palestinian leaders condemning a guy simply because he criticized suicide bombing.
You really should just keep these internal monologues as internal.
Nobody has any clue what you're talking about, nor should they care.

Apartheid is as about as racist as you can get, by the way.

“The Palestinian people does not exist.

The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means

for our Arab unity. In reality, today there is no difference

Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today

Nothing like a little cultural genocide to go with your order of apartheid.

i didn't say it the PLO leader said that other arab leaders said the same thing too bad you only read terrorist websites ad post their antisemitic and terrorist propaganda here

and over 180,000 black people live and reside in Israel how many blacks live in the racist arabs states you openly support? how many blacks live in Morocco, Lebanon, Qatar that are protected by anti-racist laws, how many blacks live in Iraq, Libya, Algeria, etc

here is more facts from arab leaders all saying the Palestinian people is an invention

he politicians of the Arab countries were very clear on this subject.

“We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds.” (First Congress of Muslim-Christian Associations, February 1919)
The representative of the Arab Higher Committee to the United Nations submitted a statement to the General Assembly in May 1947 that said,

“Palestine was part of the Province of Syria,” and that, “politically, the Arabs of Palestine were not independent in the sense of forming a separate political entity.”
In 1937, a local Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, told the Peel Commission, which ultimately suggested the partition of Palestine:

“There is no such country as Palestine! ‘Palestine’ is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria.”
“Palestine and Transjordan are one.”
King Abdullah, Arab League meeting in Cairo,12 April 1948

So the Arabs in the 1940s did not notice any “Palestinians”. Moreover, they did not “notice” any “Palestine” either!

OK. In the 40s, the Arab politicians did not find any “Palestinian people”. It’s no surprise; nobody could find them.

But maybe they “found” this mysterious “Palestinian people” later? They did not.

Syrian President Hafez Assad addressing the Palestinian leader, the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), President of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and “Father of the Palestinian People” Yasser Arafat, explained to him:

“You do not represent Palestine as much as we do. Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. Therefore it is we, the Syrian authorities, who are the true representatives of the Palestinian people.”
Of course, the Palestinian leader, “Father of the Palestinian People” and so on, rejected these insinuations with indignation and… Actually, no, he did not.

Moreover, Arafat himself made a definitive and unequivocal statement along the same lines as late as 1993, when he declared that,

“The question of borders doesn’t interest us… From the Arab standpoint, we mustn’t talk about borders. Palestine is nothing but a drop in an enormous ocean. Our nation is the Arabic nation that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea and beyond it…The P.L.O. is fighting Israel in the name of Pan-Arabism. What you call “Jordan” is nothing more than Palestine.”
Not long ago, Azmi Bishara (the ex-Knesset member exiled from Israel for passing sensitive information to Hezbollah during the Second Lebanon War) who is anything except Israel’s friend said the same: there is no Palestinian people.

“The truth is that Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan.”
– King Hussein of Jordan, in 1981

“Palestine is Jordan and Jordan is Palestine; there is only one land, with one history and one and the same fate,”
Prince Hassan of the Jordanian National Assembly was quoted as saying on February 2, 1970.

Abdul Hamid Sharif, Prime Minister of Jordan declared in 1980,

“The Palestinians and Jordanians do not belong to different nationalities. They hold the same Jordanian passports, are Arabs and have the same Jordanian culture.”
