Yep, we're transitioning alright....to coal and lumber. The 19th century is calling!
it is astounding how some people just refuse to see the "green energy transition" experiment has failed

there is no way in hell wind, solar , geothermal, hydro, hydrogen, gravity schemes and battery tech will replace any meaningful fraction of 100 X 2 million barrels of oil, (Nat gas & Coal equivalent) per day

PER DAY !

avoiding the facts of the matter is simply willful ignorance & uncompromising devotion to ideological dogma

They would rather see millions freeze or starve to death than admit the "green energy transition" experiment has failed

You once posted, and I paraphrase, that if you were wrong and the science is correct that this would be the single greatest crime against humanity ever committed.
Which either your pet theories, that no legit scientist backs, are correct or you're part and parcel of helping commit the single greatest crime against humanity.

Either way, renewables are cheaper.
There will be issues rebuilding, gravity storage, rare earths for batteries/motors, rebuilding the grid and redoing transportation, sure.
But there are already massive, really fucking massive, issues from climate change and extreme weather.
This summer was likely the coldest summer of the rest of your life.
From now on.

So keep buying oil and gas from Putin and MBS.
So smart, they'd never raise prices cuz they could, would they?
You have no clue what I'm talking about, do you? If the European peoples freeze during the winter, if the energy shortages cause major disruptions, there will be millions in the streets and they will demand answers and solutions. And the current "leaders" have neither, so you're looking at potential revolutions that will cause social upheaval not seen in a very long time.

Lol...Franky has it figured out...when the Europeans freeze during winter and revolutions happen in Europe...it's still Putin's fault...

You keep saying that coal and gas are the answer as if they are permanent answers.
I keep saying that coal use will increase temporarily as the EU builds more renewables but that they'd be idiots to then move back to using Putin's gas.
You think they should buy even more gas from Putin.

I don't give a fuck about Putin and your excuses. I do care about the peaceful coexistence and order that three generations in the post WWII Europe worked so hard to achieve, only to see it pissed away by the green psychos in the last 20 years. Well, I got a news for you, when the shit hits the fan, the greenies will be swinging from the lamp posts and god only knows who will take over. The climate morons have steered the West right into fucking chaos.

I don't care about your denial of science and reality as long as you peacefully stick to backing conmen who want nothing to do with other than your money. And as long as you don't back coup attempts.
But when you start backing the people screwing up the climate, that's another thing.

The conversations aren't about warming anymore, its tipping points.
How many of the 15 big ones are we already committed to now?

You're worried about how much it will cost you to drive your SUV to the corner store, other people are worried about food.

'Climate sheeple' for supporters of climate warrior leaders
(the likes of Trudeau) is the counterpart of 'climate deniers'
and 'science deniers' on the other side. Sweden is now showing
signs of the decline of climate sheeple among voters.
As I said, using the term 'sheeple' is generally a sign of a weak argument.

Did you ever read MAD magazine? You know how much less fun
MAD would be if it toned down its satire on politicians and celebrities?
MAD is no Globe and Mail nonetheless I still take the its messages
more seriously than TERB.

Yes, your replies show you are clueless.
You can't reply to facts. Ever.

You are the frog in the pot of boiling water.
The only fact that matters is that the vast swaths of First World cannot afford basic shit like energy to heat their homes and run their businesses. And the root problem is the green madness. Putin only exposed it, so thanks Vlad!

To me, the fascinating thing about TYT and their ilk is that as they are get more and more attention, and put more and more material out there, the result is that more and more people respond to their agenda by turning to conservative political values.

Talk about ineffective and counterproductive!

MAD was a truly great publication and helped shape the critical thinking and sense of humour of millions of teenagers from the early 50's to about 2000 (although it continued on newstands until 2018, there was a radical change in the style of humour, and a big reduction in sales - since 2018 it is only available via subscription and at comic book stores, but it is a shadow of its former self). It saddens me that today's teenagers have nothing similar to enjoy.

????
Putin exposed how desperately dependent Europe was on Russian oil and LNG. If it wasn't for green energy, either the shortages would be worse or Europe would have been forced to accept Russia's invasion.

Except this far right populism is not traditional conservative values, simply a way of capitalizing on people's anger. Just look at the divide in the US between the traditional GOP and the populist trumpies.

Also, how is TYT influencing politics in Sweden?
