So many of us are thankful we didn't emerge from the vagina of a Dane.

Imagine the boredom being saddled with the Danish sense of humour

Next time anyone pisses on the Royal Family, remember we would all be Americans if not for the British. And the racist imbecile corrupt Donald Trump would have been our president 2016 - 2020. Yikes!

He's been "groomed" to be King since he was a toddler. I cannot see him abdicating. William will need to wait a bit.
I can. There's a certain temperamental difference and his head will always "wear the crown" uneasily. Snark over Camilla will never end in stuffy British society and the media specializes in sarcasm there. My guess is "Charles the Turd" will, in fact, abdicate in favor of handsome William and his charming family. The crown can cover the bald spot...

The Windsors mean nothing to me or anyone I know. The term "Monarch" only belongs on margarine.

She was, however, someone's Mother, Wife, Sister, Grandmother, etc. That deserves respect.

Re-read my post. I clearly differentiated the loss of the woman vs the loss of a Monarch. I agree the world will tune in en masse, but IMO that is more a testament of who she was as a person and a stateswoman than any sorrow the world holds that England has lost a 'Queen' of the Monarchy. Only England really gives a crap about that.
Few know or care to discuss the atrocities of the British Empire.

Wrong. Her funeral will be watched by more people than the World Cup final. The modern world will come to a halt. Just remember the effect on the world during Princess Diana’s funeral.
The modern world will not come to a halt. Many of us including myself have to work to put food on the table, we don't live on tax payer money.
The passing of an elderly person happens every day. My respects are paid. The death of Princess Diana was a tragedy. She disgraced the royals by dating a foreigner.
Strange circumstances of the accident.

A lot of people will watch. A lot of people will wait for the evening news coverage and watch that. A lot of people will go about their daily lives as if nothing happened. But the modern world will not come to a halt - just as the modern world actually didn't come to a halt when Diana died. There was a greater outpouring of grief and emotion because it was so sudden and so unexpected, but I don't remember my day being any different when Diana died or when her funeral was held. I think I was working.

I heard someone say on the news yesterday that this is going to be like when Kennedy was shot or when Diana died or when 9/11 happened - you'll remember exactly where you were when you heard the news. False equivalence. Kennedy and Diana were tragic and shocking deaths; 9/11 was simply a surreal and horrific experience that literally changed the world and is burned into most people's memories. But Elizabeth was 96 years old and in increasingly frail health. This was neither shocking nor tragic. It was expected sooner rather than later. It won't have the same impact as those other events.
I will remember where I was yesterday, I will remember that I broke the new here first. I will certainly remember, but I get your point and I agree. Some will not remember at all. Not like they did when 9/11 happened.

The Monarchy makes Great Britain more money than the tax payers spend on it. Do not kid yourselves. It would have ended years ago if it were no the case.

I wonder how Charles III will deal with Randy Andy.

Andy's troubles started when his ex-wife was continuously draining the Royal expense account with her non-stop shopping....so Lizzy cut her off. That's when Jeffrey Epstein stepped in, paying her debts. A fast friendship develop between Epstein and Randy, that caused the hornile Royal to stop sweating.

Charles and William are not exactly fond of Randy.

That may be true but the UK's chances of negotiating a Free Trade Deal with India are at zero. The Sub-Continent is demanding reparations amounting to $18 trillion from occupation. The British Raj had to make a deal with Gandhi during WWII, the Burmese joined forces with the Japanese.

There was an item on that subject a while ago, on TV. False. When asked how much the royal family factored into their visits to England or thoughts regarding England the answer was a resounding zero.
