Here
She was a great tourist attraction. Charlie won't be nearly as interesting. I wonder if they'll charge people to view her while she's laid out in St Paul's Cathedral

Others besides Queen Elizabeth died today.
RIP to all the departed.

I never really understood the fascination, and for some the obsession of the British Royals. Or any royal family. Skin bones, flesh and blood like everyone else.

Is it the wealth? Fame? Power? Some folks dreaming or fantasizing that maybe they can reach that level or be married in or befriend one of them?

Is it the same lure for some, that say, put the Kardashians (LMAO 🤣 LCD’s) on that same pedestal?

Elizabeth sipped a table spoon of balsamic vinegar daily, if Charles does the same thing he can probably live into his 90's also. Most effective and expensive anti-oxidant there is.

Apparently she said that Royal Barley water was also one of the reasons for her long life.

Part of me has empathy for her. Can you imagine how lonely it is to be stoic and watch the British empire decline into a whimper in your lifetime and yet still treat former colonies with grace?

I can only imagine how hard that must be for her, especially with kids who are so fucking stupid.
She helped millions transition to democracy and freedom with a relative stability and little interference.
I think Charles then William will continue in the same way.

I am very sad to hear this.

2 days ago she was meeting the new Prime Minister of Britain. Today she's gone. She always put her people first. Her whole life was devoted to the service of her people. She took her vows very seriously.

She was a rock.

Well, here's the easy chance to bump her off the currency. No need to pop on Charles, let's get a Canadian on there. Maybe Don Cherry on the $20...lol...or maybe Gretzky...
Who would be the best Canadian to go on the $20?

The monarchists will miss licking her behind on the stamps.

I think they will add Charles to the coinage but change the 20 to a Canadian.

Like Serena Williams she fell just short.

King Louis XIV retains his title as Europe's longest serving monarch (1643 - 1715) at 72 years. Elizabeth II comes in second at 70 (1952 - 2022). Of course Luigi would have fallen sooner if the French peasantry didn't rally to his cause at Malplaquet.

Charles isn't likeable...the queen is.
Bang on. There will never be another monarch as likable and classy as Queen Elizabeth II. May she rest in peace.

She was the last vestige of the old England- at least the best slice of it. A remarkable public figure. And all she ever did was what was required of her with no fuss nor drama. Isn't this a lesson for us all?

Wondering if any knew her personally? Or just through the news and media. Most on this thread speak as if to seem they knew her quite well.

It is a great lesson: make sure to emerge from the vagina of a queen.

A tough, fair, and classy person. She set a great example for how people should conduct themselves. She will be missed, and good luck to whomever has to follow her.
