Never in the history of the United states has a major party had to rally behind such a week.competitor for such a long period of time. It has been 6 years filled with an unbelievable amount of fraud, corruption and lies since Trumps last achievement; winning the Whitehouse. Even the few acts that were considered achievements for the GOPee turned out to weaken their party even more. The tax cuts helped spiral America nearly into a recession before Joe Biden came along and saved the day. Some may blame coronavirus but trumps negligent midlandling and lying about the epidemic which would have landed him in jail for a very long time is only a contributor along with a grossly incompetent management of the country. The Chinese tariffs caused a major retaliation by China which caused inflation and massive shortages and delays. The deal with the taliban was among the worst in history.
Some may say instilling 3 SCOTUS judges was an amazing feat. It was pure luck and shady tricks by the GOPee to have gifted this to Trump but that also managed to backfire on them when they abolished wade v roe. Trump renaming NAFTA and changing some very minor details was hardly earth shattering, but that is perhaps the only thing that didn't blow up in the party's face. His inhumane treatment of illegal aliens may have caused a decline in immigration but his policies were a small part of the puzzle and are not applauded by most Americans.
The GOPee is in very peculiar spot. Trump lost the house the senate and the presidency yet they still have to rally around him because of his wildly successful fundraising. There are two things that Trump does exceptionally well : Fundraise and rile up his base. Because of this the party is unable to move away from him in fear of losing money and votes. Most of the party despises him and want him out but they cannot publicly say that so they have to bite their lips and just wait it out. The GOPee is in a very undesiable position.
