The last season was lacking but House of The Dragon is the "before" not the "after" and I find it very promissing. You could watch HTD without watching GOT

I was a huge fan of Lost until the crap ending episode. Now I wouldn't watch anything to do with that show.

it was not even that bad…. The show started with the Starks… and ended with the Starks ruling just about everything.

Yeah, I wasn’t that unhappy with that ending.

the only thing that annoyed me was they could not give Tyrion clever dialog without the novels. He went from interesting to disappointing. However…. There is a reason he is George RR Martin… and they aren’t

The rythme of the last season lost a lot of people including myself. By the time I also had a crappy tv and their was some scènes I could barely see because it was too dark. The last épisode was meh too.

Lolz... I'm reading Wheel of Time over the longest time period possible. I want to save it for when I truly have free time. (I think I'm on Book #7).

They got ahead of the actual books... it was a bit of a shit show, no doubt.

Yep. I refuse to watch it as they probably butchered the books.

The Wheel of Time done right would be better than the Lord of the Rings. Strong characters, both male and female.

Yes.
But this seems to not be the same people, so it might not suck so much.

But unless I start hearing rave reviews, I don't have a lot of interest here.

I've heard they did a decent job with the adaptation.

Not great, but overall solid. (Heard this both from fans of the books and people who never read it.)

Hardcore fans who want every bit of lore detail won't like it though, because no adaptation should ever slavishly follow the original material and they were smart enough to avoid that.
