He has already admitted that he did, but that he unilaterally "declassified" them. He's now saying that all the documents were "privileged".

If you're going to believe the nonsense, at least keep up with the latest version. It changes once or twice a day.
I honestly can't keep up but unless I hear him say it I'm not believing the lying fake news.

So what happens after this, Mandrill?
Is the lawyer in deep shit, or does this come down on rump for lying to his lawyer.
Can the lawyer still work for someone who has lied like this?
How certain are you that this is all real and not another ploy from the commies just like the fake Russian collusion and impeachment hoaxes. All was a lie. Everybody believes the boogeyman.

The lawyer will say that they just repeated information from Trump.

There is no firm rule that the lawyer has to withdraw if she just repeats a client's lies. And they're in-house counsel, not litigation counsel. So there is no "record" to withdraw from.

Top secret guy: Mr. President, this shit is top secret please destroy these documents after you are done with them.
Trump: Of course, and I certainly will not store them at my golf club, and if I do then I certainly would not brag to anyone about it because I never brag.
I sincerely doubt that all of the papers were "Destroy after reading"......

I believe in the rule of law. I believe no one is above the law(except Hillary Clinton).
Why do you believe Hillary Clinton should be above the law?
She's not a queen.
Why support her unconditionally like that?

I also believe that the establishment is corrupt. The media is also corrupted. If the corrupted media is telling you a story about other corrupted parties. Do you believe it? Of course you do.
No. You should learn not to believe things automatically.
That's a bad policy.
You should be a smart media skeptic and have literacy about media biases and how they work.
For instance, any shred of media literacy would lead you to stop paying attention to the Gateway Pundit.

More relevant here, you should have been immediately skeptical of the initial reports describing the search as "a raid" and what was being looked for and why.
There was a recent story floated around from newsweek that there were pay records in the files.
Given that it is Newsweek (a shitty organization with a bad track record) and that it is a pretty sensational claim without any back up, you should be very suspicious of that report.

You can remove anything from any house but doesn't mean you removed anything of importance.
We agree.

They could have taken out his recycling and you guys would believe he had nuclear codes.
The people saying he had the nuclear codes are idiots.
As people doing actual reporting on this have pointed out, we have no actual evidence that these documents involved nuclear weapons in some way. Nothing we've seen yet contradicts that, but we don't actually have evidence of it. (And that subject is wide ranging and could mean lots of things.)
Since there is some reason to believe that report was leaked from the Trump team itself, I don't expect documents on nuclear weapons to be a significant part of what was found on the estate.

There are already states that have been decertified due fraud.
Name one. (I'm assuming you mean something concerning the 2020 election here.)

No one likes Biden. He couldn't fill one stadium while Trump fills one each weekend.
When was the last time Trump filled a stadium?
The Waukesha County Fair last weekend wasn't a stadium.

Here's the thing.
They would have had a taint team on site most likely, but even so there is a good chance some of the material taken is actually privileged.
It would get sorted and returned.
So I don't think this is necessarily some weird excuse, it seems plausible.
Of course, the idea is to imply they just took privileged things on a fishing expedition and nothing else and it is all bullshit, etc. etc.

But I can definitely see the FBI having to hand some stuff back here.

I don't have a NY Times subscription and this is Maggie Haberman here.
Did they produce this signed document or is it just her "inside sources say" which I don't put much stock in?

There's a procedure for determining what is / isn't privileged. Usually an amicus appointment.

It's so funny how we all twist and turn to try to rebut these Trump Worshippers. Myself included!

If they reply to the information at all, it is simply just a word to go off and try to cast doubt, deny or whattabout.

But, I do believe that they really do believe that Trump is The Messiah and everything else is corrupt, untrue, against them or Lefty.

I'm more talking about the stooges in the general population who actually believe his schtick.

Plenty of people say Trump is stupid. No way! He is not stupid. He is a genius of manipulating people... all in the furtherance of his own malignant narcissistic needs. And for the cash he is fleecing from them.

But what worries me the most is that these people who live among us are actually being brainwashed deeper and deeper into that cesspool of disinformation. To the extent that many of the Trump fans are also supporting Russia.

Actually, it is my understanding (from researching/trying how to deal with a dear friend who has gone down this rabbit hole) of conspiracy theorists/political extremists that the more you challenge them, the deeper they go.

I challenge them here, online, purely for my own sporting interests in making fun of their ludicrous arguments.

But after all is said and done, I am of the personal opinion that we have to "put up with them" as they are fellow humans and part of society. We can all disagree. That is a cornerstone of the foundation of western society IMHO.

It just saddens me that the internet has given so many people of below average intelligence an echo chamber platform to spew nonsense . And it is eroding our society...again, IMHO.
