It appears some of these cops don't care. One cop is seen putting disinfectant on his hands while the shooter is still shooting. Pathetic.

What a bunch of pussies!
I’m not the bravest guy around but I’m pretty sure if I had a gun and body armour I would’ve went in. Plus there were several officers there and they knew they would probably be going up against one person.(The vast majority of mass shootings are done by one person)
All I can say is suck it up and get in there or hand in your badge and gun. THEY ARE DISGRACEFUL!

This is painful to watch. These guys abdicated their duty to serve and protect while that fucker was mowing down kids one by one.

Nice touch with the hand sanitizer. Hope they release his name. Would love to hear his explanation on that one. Literally washing his hands of the situation. Nonchalance in the heat of battle. True warriors.

Here's what the Israelis would have done.
1) Smash in the door (although it wasn't actually locked).
2) Toss in a few stun grenades.
3) Kill the bastard.
4) Everybody go home.

Fkn ridiculous - an absolute shit show what is happening to that country. Extremely sad how these guy did nothing - they should all be released of their duties. Unthinkable the loss - my god - I can't even imagine the state of minds of those poor parents - my god - gives me the goosebumps just thinking about it. How do you.... if you ever - recover from something like this.

The thing to remember, as has been brought up on these forums again and again, is that these cops have one primary duty - to come home alive.
That's it. So they did the right thing here according to all the people who have commented on why cops had to shoot unarmed black people - they did what they had to do to make sure they came home alive.
That those children had to die is just unfortunate, but everyone who loves cops knows they did the right thing here and let those kids die so that the cops could get home safe.

WTF?
They are sworn to serve and protect.
Guess those kids weren't worth protecting.
If they want to ensure they go home from work every night get an office job.

Fucking bizarre.

Not actually. Their job is to serve and protect citizens.

these cops have one primary duty - to come home alive.
So they should paint that on their patrol cars instead of " To Serve and Protect"

OK. My last comment on this video.
I truly hope if any of the parents of these dead kids run into any of these coward cops in public, they chew the shit out of them. Embarrass the fuck out of them for everyone in that community to see.

Yes. I got sworn in, in a courthouse, by a judge, raised my right hand and swore to support, protect and defend the Constitutions of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia against all enemies foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. To aid those in danger or distress and consider no sacrifice too great in the performance of my duties. That was over sixteen years ago. I don't know if the words are the same anymore, but I imagine most officers swear a similar oath. I hope this answers your question.

What is the Law Enforcement's oath?

In 1957, the International Association of Chiefs of Police at the San Diego convention drafted this oath:
As a law enforcement officer, my fundamental duty is to serve the community; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the constitutional rights of all to liberty, equality and justice.
I will keep my private life unsullied as an example to all and will behave in a manner that does not bring discredit to me or to my agency. I will maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others.
Honest in thought and deed both in my personal and official life, I will be exemplary in obeying the law and the regulations of my department. Whatever I see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to me in my official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of my duty.
I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, political beliefs, aspirations, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.
I recognize the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith, and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of police service. I will never engage in acts of corruption or bribery, nor will I condone such acts by other police officers. I will cooperate with all legally authorized agencies and their representatives in the pursuit of justice.
I know that I alone am responsible for my own standard of professional performance and will take every reasonable opportunity to enhance and improve my level of knowledge and competence.
I will constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating myself before God to my chosen profession… law enforcement.

Don't see anything in there about being one's primary duty to come back home alive. I think that applies more to bank tellers.
