James Caan was all about fitness, he should have lived as long as The Great Shat.

For a Jewish man he played a great Siciliano/American...old fashioned toilet scene.

Obviously great in the Godfather and Misery

But I always had a soft spot for him in Alien Nation.

I saw Rollerball in the theater when I was pretty young. It was a pretty wild movie at the time. He was a great actor. RIP

I also liked him in Freebie and the Bean. Underrated 70s film.
Great actor indeed.
RIP JAMES CAAN

82 that's a real head scratcher

The gambler
Thief
Hide in plain sight
Cinderella Liberty.
Lots of great movies.
Voted by Italians as the best Italian movie tough guy. When he pointed out that he wasn't Italian, he was Jewish, the Italians said "that don't matter"

Could be anything. He was from that era where many people smoked, so my guess would be heart or cancer related. He made it four years past the average lifespan for Americans. He had back surgery last year and was getting around with the use of a walker. RIP

Could be because he was 82. Sometimes you have to consider the obvious.

An old lady told me that in her building of elderly men die in their mid 70's. The women seem to continue.

Do you have any other sources?
YEs I do.
I live in a building of 30 units and most are old ladies over 70+ and 75 + groupies. Half of women lost ( died) their husbands. Some young men have moved in and the 60 year old man already had some health issue with Covid in the hospital for 3 weeks.

Would you like more?

I also learned (majority) once a woman divorces she will either have a FWB for 10years then dump him then live on her own no matter what the social status standing she has or some women do not file for divorce but still be separated but hoping for the CPP. The ones with no FWB or boyfriends stay single. I could go on but I thinking of writing a book, since they tell me about their lives in codes.

Book or not. Sounds like easy pickins my friend. Like shooting rats in a barrel. Fill yer boots.

Anyway. Back to James Caan. He said a lot of neat stuff. Memorable quotes and all.

I kind of take this one personally.

Don't forget his role as writer Paul Sheldon in Misery, one of the greatest films ever made. He could also play a bad dude with the best of them. Extensive filmography for this superb actor. RIP.
