Did you read that part as well or is this just another case where you avoid even implied criticisms of Palestinian leadership?

The solution Tutu was talking about involves Israeli and Palestinian people sitting together and finding common ground. Unfortunately Hamas arrests people in Gaza that try to do that and in the West Bank get condemned for 'normalizing'.
I agree with Tutu.

Common ground, equal rights and the end of apartheid are the best ways forward.
Why won't you support equal rights?

Why do you keep defending apartheid, targeting journalists and the targeting of civilians you define as terrorism?

NY Cops Arrest anti-Jewish terrorist teens Over ‘Free Palestine’ Assault on Jewish Man in Brooklyn

The New York Police Department has arrested two teenagers in connection with an assault on a Jewish man in Brooklyn last month during which the slogan “Free Palestine” was shouted as the victim was being beaten.

The two boys, aged 14 and 16, were charged on Wednesday with third-degree assault and first-degree harassment, with both classed as hate crimes.

The unnamed yeshiva student was attacked on May 6 at the intersection of Avenue M and East 18th Street in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. Five males surrounded him and punched him in the face as one of the assailants shouted “Free Palestine.” The victim was briefly hospitalized at Maimonides Medical Center and released.

Incidents targeting the Jewish community in the State of New York have increased 24 percent since last year, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The ADL found that with 416 attacks, New York had the highest number of antisemitic incidents in the entire country — 12 percent more than neighboring New Jersey.

In New York City, antisemitic hate crimes increased by nearly 100 percent, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) reported in April. In February of this year, the New York Police Department recorded 56 hate crimes against Jews, compared with 11 in the same month the previous year.

I'm glad they arrested those two teens, there is no room for hatred.
Of course its not nearly on the scale of apartheid, settler colonialism and the targeting of civilians that basketcase calls 'terrorism'.

Compare that one episode to yet another week of occupation and apartheid, so far this year Israel has killed 62 and injured 892.

B’nai Brith asks how terrorist can live freely in Canada

B’nai Brith Canada has issued a video compilation on Canadian resident Khaled Barakat, of whom it is has previously provided evidence to show is a high ranking member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

The purported member of the terrorist group is living freely in the country even though the PFLP is a banned organization in Canada.

B’nai Brith’s video is a “reminder of the threat posed by this senior member of the terrorist-designated Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.”

“As the video illustrates, Barakat has been flouting Canadian law by motivating terrorist activity on behalf of the PFLP,” B’nai Brith said. “It highlights the connection between the PFLP and the Samidoun Network in Canada – a PFLP ‘proxy’ group, run by his wife Charlotte Kates. The Samoudin Network has been allowed to register as a non-profit in Canada, with all the associated benefits, despite being established for an illegal purpose of supporting a terrorist entity.”

B’nai Brith CEO Michael Mostyn explained that the video’s purpose is to make sure the information his advocacy group has collected is widely disseminated to the public.

“We want to make certain this information is readily available to everybody and the public is aware that B’nai Brith has been pushing for Barakat’s deportation for years now, yet has received no response from our Government,” he said. “With clear links established between Barakat, the Samoudin Network and the PFLP, we urge the authorities to take action, deport Barakat and shut down the Samoudin operation.”

B’nai Brith has gathered intelligence on Barakat for the past two years, releasing several videos.

And yet you endorse boycotting Israel and keep making excuses for terrorist groups who openly avow their goal is the elimination of the Jewish presence.

You also excused Hamas' arrest of people simply for having a zoom chat with Israelis interested in common ground and routinely ignore the opinions of any Israelis that contradict your world view.

Why do you keep defending racist terror attacks on civilians by groups like Hamas?

You would be convincing if you hadn't been justifying pro-Palestinian vandalism of a London restaurant simply because the owner is a Jew and spending months trying to argue that being a Jew in the West Bank makes you a valid target.

Also you happily ignore the many times Hamas leaders have called for or threatened attacks on Jews worldwide.

So does Amnesty, HRW and so do most Canadians.

66% of Canadians say sanctions on Israel would be ‘reasonable’: poll

Amnesty International is calling on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to consider the crime of apartheid in its current investigation in the OPT and calls on all states to exercise universal jurisdiction to bring perpetrators of apartheid crimes to justice.

As for your slander about 'vandalism', painting 'free Palestine' should not be newsworthy its so minor. And lets not forget that you went on and on about this graffiti while Israel's Flag March was occurring, where at the very same time mobs of thousands of Israelis yelled 'death to arabs' with the backing of the police, army and government. Yet you were only concerned that someone spray painted 'free Palestine' in Montreal.

Toronto Police Investigating "Shoot A Jew In The Head" Graffiti Found at York University

The Hate Crimes Division of the Toronto Police Department (TPS) is looking for the person or group responsible for scrawling an antisemitic image and threat near York University, school officials have confirmed.

The offensive graffiti depicts a Jew with sidelocks and a Star of David inside crosshairs next to a message that says, “Shoot a Jew in the head.”

On Thursday, York University said it “denounces this hateful, antisemitic act” and is working closely with law enforcement.

“The university learned of hateful and antisemitic graffiti that was reported to be found in the ‘The Village’ neighbourhood yesterday. Many students live in this area close to Keele Campus,” the statement said. “The university condemns this antisemitic act and will continue to support the TPS in any way possible. Supports are available to community members, and direct outreach is underway to Jewish student groups.”

“It’s not a surprising thing in this area, but it makes me feel a little bit nervous, a little big sad, a lot angry as well,” York University graduate student Garrett Ryan told CP24, a local news outlet. “It’s frightening that people are trying to incite violence on us.”

A surge of hate crimes in Canada has heightened concern about the safety of the country’s Jewish community. A recent report by the Toronto Police Service found that 257 took place in that city alone, with 56 targeting Jews.

Antisemitic hate crimes in Canada overall have reached record highs for six consecutive years, according to data compiled by B’nai B’rith Canada. Almost eight incidents per day occurred in 2021, a recent audit by the group revealed, including 2,460 episodes of harassment and 75 violent incidents throughout 2021.

Most recently, a Toronto Uber eats driver pulled up to a yeshiva accosting students and saying he would “kill 30 Jews today.” The disturbing scene was witnessed by the school’s cook who was punched in the face after asking the man to leave. The cook then tackled the perpetrator and detained him until the arrival of police, who discovered that he was armed with a knife.

In May, B’nai B’rith Canada urged the Canadian government to issue a report assessing its progress on fulfilling its promise to aggressively fight antisemitism throughout the provinces. The Canadian government subsequently filed a report last year at the Malmo International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism.

Anti-Jewish Terrorist Apologist campaigned with multiple Democrats over the past year

(June 27, 2022 / JNS) An anti-Israel activist who shared a number of social media posts with anti-Semitic content has campaigned with multiple Democrats over the past year.

Mahel Abdel Qader has come under fire for repeatedly promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. In 2017, he shared a graphic that included the names of dozens of Jewish members of Congress, implying that they have a dual loyalty to Israel and the United States. The Daily Caller reported that, in 2018, Qader shared an anti-Semitic video that claimed Jews are “satanic” and control the media. The video also dipped into Holocaust denial, questioning whether six million Jews died at the hands of the Nazis. It also claimed that Jews aren’t actually Jewish, but rather invented their historical claims to Israel.

In another post, Qader accused Israeli settlers of training children “to terrorize Palestinian civilians.” He also posted a picture of a sign that showed former U.S. President Donald Trump wearing a yarmulke while holding a Hanukkah menorah and an Israeli flag. The sign said, “Hey Donald, we thought you said America First!” Qader also put up multiple posts that promote boycotts of Israel.

According to a Fox News Digital report, Qader served on the host committees of multiple fundraisers for New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ campaign. He also joined Adams on a Zoom call to discuss the campaign, according to a post on Qader’s now-deleted Instagram page.

In addition, Qader attended a New York City fundraiser last month for Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, who is running for reelection. Several weeks ago, he was on the host committee of a virtual fundraiser for Rev. Jesse Jackson’s son Jonathan Jackson, who is running for Congress in Illinois’ First Congressional District.

North Carolina Democrats adopt anti-jewish, terrorist propaganda in thier party platform

(June 27, 2022 / JNS) The North Carolina Democratic Party adopted a series of resolutions critical of Israel at its annual statewide convention on June 18, drawing condemnation from Jewish leaders.

The “Resolution in Support of Human Rights in Israel/Palestine,” “Resolution for an Independent Investigation of the Killing of Shireen Abu Akleh” and “Resolution to Commemorate May 15 as Nakba Remembrance Day” were part of the NCDP 2022 State Convention final resolutions report.

The resolutions accused Israel of forcibly displacing Palestinians and restricting Palestinian access to public utilities. They also alleged that Israel’s end goals were “the fracturing and ghettoization of Palestinian land,” claiming that Israel’s settlement of Jews in historically Jewish regions was “expropriation.”

The resolutions also called on the United States government to impose “targeted sanctions,” including travel bans and asset freezes on people and entities that are related to alleged “Israeli violations of human rights.” It also urged the federal government to put conditions on U.S. military and financial assistance to Israel.

The North Carolina Jewish Clergy Association issued a statement last week criticizing the three resolutions.

“Of the seven resolutions devoted to foreign affairs, three are focused on criticism of Israel. While some of our clergy are sympathetic to some of the claims embedded in the statements, on the main, these resolutions are not thoughtful nor balanced,” the NCJCA said.

The statement also claimed that “such party stances often lead to the demonization of Jews and Israelis, ignore Israel’s genuine security concerns, play upon age-old anti-Jewish stereotypes and include language which implies that Israel should cease to exist as a sovereign state.”

“Furthermore, given the troubling rise in direct acts of anti-Semitism against many North Carolina synagogues, we consider these resolutions to be potentially dangerous,” the organization added.

The pro-Israel organization the North Carolina Coalition for Israel, joined the NCJCA in condemning the N.C. Democrats’ resolutions, saying the documents “accuse Jews and Israel of crimes that have not been committed.”

“Similar to anti-Semitic conspiracy theories leveled against Jews in 20th century Europe, these resolutions falsely depict both Jewish communities and Israel as conniving to harm non-Jewish populations,” the organization said. “By adopting this platform, the North Carolina Democratic Party is signing on to racist hatred of our state’s Jewish community.”

The Coalition called on Democratic Party leaders and elected officials to “condemn and rescind these resolutions.”

North Carolina Democratic Party Chairwoman Dr. Bobbie Richardson confirmed that the resolutions were adopted at the state convention, saying that they were “voted by majority” and the fact that they were adopted “doesn’t mean we are anti-Jewish.”

“We have a political process and by a political process they were adopted,” Richardson told JNS on Friday. “Doesn’t mean we are anti-anyone. We follow the democratic process.”

“The blatantly anti-Semitic planks recently adopted by the N.C. Democrat Party are shameful and deserving of the strongest condemnation. Sadly, such an embrace of anti-Semitism is indicative of just how radical this Democrat Party has become,” the North Carolina Republican Party said Thursday in response to the resolutions.

“The fact that neither [North Carolina senatorial candidate] Cheri Beasley nor any other Democratic candidate has denounced these measures shows a complete adherence to the most radical platform that any political party has ever put forward in North Carolina,” NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley said.

Militia-like Anti-Jewish Terrorist gangs attack Jews across US, West - analysis

The militia-style of ISIS, now under the Hamas banner, appears to have come to more western countries under the guise of pro-Palestinian activism.

Pro-Palestinian Movement=Anti Jewish terrorism

Attacks on Jews from London to California now appear to revolve around a series of systematic assaults by groups of pro-Palestinian men organized in militia-like groups. They have included convoys of cars calling on people to rape Jewish women and targeted attacks on Jews eating dinner or working in areas known to have high numbers of Jews.

This is not spontaneous or random. Jews have been targeted for two weeks under the guise of the war in Gaza.

Here is what we know about some of the groups involved in militia-like attacks on Jews across western countries.

In Canada men went to Cote-Saint-Luc, where there is a sizable Jewish community, and yelled antisemitic comments. Two were arrested. The violence against Jews in Montreal appears not to have been covered well, but attackers were armed and sought out Jewish neighborhoods.

In Edmonton, reports say that men went to a Jewish area near Beth Israel Synagogue shouting “free Palestine” and seeking out Jews. They asked people “do any Jews live here?” People went to the west end of Edmonton also “seeking Jews,” according to reports.

In New York City, the militias targeted the Diamond District where there are many Jewish-owned businesses. “One person was burned when two fireworks were thrown from a car.”

Some American Jews feel the need to remove their kippahs or Star of David necklaces or even mezuzahs.

Though in most of the world there were zero violent antisemitic incidents, attacks on Jews which are common in the US, particularly New York, rose sharply to 193 in one week.

The types of incidents point to a similar trend of young men riding around in cars seeking out and attacking Jews, unlike recent attacks on synagogues before the Gaza conflict.

In another convoy of vehicles, “pro-Palestinian men in a caravan chased an Orthodox Jewish man,” the JTA reported. The militias hunted down Joseph Borgen, who was wearing a kippah, and beat him in Manhattan. The article noted that “Waseem Awawdeh, 23, was arrested in connection with the beating and charged with a hate crime, gang assault and other charges.”

In New York the attackers wrap their faces in keffiyehs, like Hamas militiamen in Gaza. They sometimes wear military-style outfits too.

In Los Angeles, an attack by a convoy of pro-Palestinian militia-types on Jewish people at a sushi restaurant is being investigated as a hate crime.

Video from Times Square showed numerous angry men, some with Palestinian flags, trying to attack a pro-Israel event. Many covered their faces in black cloths, balaclavas or scarves. Another video shows gangs of men swinging fists at people they think are Jews.

These gangs of men, almost no women present, set out to find Jews and assault them. There is no pretense that this is a protest. They dress as militants, not protesters. The car convoy, with megaphones and men hanging out of the windows, is a relatively new phenomenon and appears to be uniformly orchestrated across several cities in western countries.

Another pro-Palestinian gang sought to target Teaneck, New Jersey, where many Jews live.

look another "pro-palestinian" organization link to terrorists and holocaust deniers so what else is new?

A Facebook 'trusted partner' charity and member of Twitter's 'Trust and Safety Council' has links to alleged terror organizations, a new report claims.

Meta, Facebook's parent company, provides funding and works closely with pro-Palestine charity 7amleh.

The partnership is one of many launched by Meta with the aim of 'keeping harmful content off our platforms and helping to prevent risk offline', and allows 7amleh to have a say in Facebook's policies.

But pro-Israel think tank the Zachor Legal Institute claims in a new report that 7amleh has ties with alleged terrorist groups and even shared staff with them, has lionized convicted terrorists, and had an alleged holocaust denier as a guest speaker at its conference.

Facebook's 'trusted partner' is linked to alleged pro-Palestine terror groups | Daily Mail Online

The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media “7amleh” , which has extensive ties to organizations involved in the support and funding of terrorism, is a “trusted partner” of Meta, which provides the organization with funding and allows it to influence Meta’s practices.

7amleh is a Haifa-based NGO whose stated objective is “enabling Palestinian and Arab civil society to effectively utilize the tools of digital advocacy through professional capacity building, defending digital rights, and building influential digital media campaigns.”

While the organization says it is involved in training and advocacy, research into the organization demonstrates that 7amleh has ties to organizations that are closely linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which makes its “Trusted Partner” status with Meta troubling.

7amleh hosted a three-day conference in mid-May with representatives from the world’s leading tech platforms, US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, and individuals with ties to terrorism.

Several of the organizations 7amleh collaborates with are proscribed terror organizations in Israel.

On October 22, 2021, in accordance with the Israeli Counter-Terrorism Law of 2016, Israel designated six supposed human rights organizations that are closely linked to the PFLP, a designated terror organization in Israel, the US, the European Union, Australia, Canada and Japan. The six included Al Haq and Addameer.

A detailed investigation conducted by Israeli authorities revealed extensive information as to how the PFLP raised funds through a network of institutions, acting under the guise of human rights organizations, including through the six proscribed entities.

The aim of this network is to raise and funnel donations from abroad to fund PFLP activities, including its acts of terror. The network of PFLP institutions operated under the guise of humanitarian aid and human rights activists, receiving funding in millions from governments that are UN Member States.

7amleh has been found to collaborate with these Israeli-designated terrorist organizations, and several of its staff appear to have strong links with them, or even work for the two organizations simultaneously.

Al Haq participates in meetings and webinars spearheaded by 7amleh, as does Addameer.

7amleh has hosted Dr. Shatha Odeh, Director General of the Health Work Committees (HWC), at their 2021 annual conference. HWC was declared an illegal terrorist organization by Israel in 2020. According to NGO Monitor, On July 7, 2021, Israel arrested Odeh for her involvement in terror activity.

Furthermore, Ahmad Qadi is listed as the Monitoring and Documentation Officer at 7amleh on his LinkedIn, as well as an Al-Haq employee.

Cathrine Abuamsha, who is the Local Advocacy Manager at 7amleh according to her LinkedIn, was a lawyer for Al Haq until January 2022.

Ola Marshoud is listed as the Digital Security Trainer at 7amleh. Marshoud was sentenced by Israel to seven months imprisonment in 2018 for holding membership in Hamas’s Islamic student bloc, which is a branch of the US-designated Hamas terrorist organization.

Mahmoud Franji, a member of 7amleh’s advisory board since 2015, wrote a “training guide” with the Israeli-designated terror group HWC in 2020.

Nadim Nashif, 7amleh’s Director and Co-Founder, called convicted PFLP airplane hijacker Leila Khaled a “resistance icon.”

In 2020, 7amleh lauded PFLP leader Ghassan Kanafani as a “distinguished Palestinian personality.” Kanafani was the PFLP spokesperson and member of its Political Bureau.

Marwa Fatafta, a member of 7amleh’s Advisory Board, wrote an article idolizing PFLP terrorist Basel al-Araj, the head of a terror cell who was killed in a battle with the IDF in 2017.

Addameer and 7amleh collaborated on a social media campaign to raise awareness and solidarity for Palestinian prisoners, including those imprisoned for terror offenses. An example of one of the campaign’s focuses was Ayman Kurd, who stabbed two Israeli police officers near Herod’s Gate at the entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City on September 19, 2016, seriously wounding a 38-year-old policewoman and moderately injuring her 47-year-old male colleague.

Another terrorist highlighted in the campaign is Marah Bakir who stabbed a Border Policeman at Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem in October 2015.

Mahmoud Adameh, the Digital Media Trainer at 7amleh, has repeatedly glorified Ghassan Kanafani, the PFLP’s former Spokesman

Despite these apparent open ties with terror-supporting elements and shows of support for terrorism, 7amleh’s has a “Trusted Partners” status and maintains a relationship with Meta.

According to Meta’s website, “Meta provides Trusted Partners with funding to support our shared goals of keeping harmful content off our platforms and helping to prevent risk offline.”

Similarly, 7amleh is a member of Twitter’s “Trust and Safety Council” which performs many of the same roles.

7amleh boasts that it actively “contribute to the development and evaluation of Facebook policies. This included policies about peaceful protests, focusing on how violence at public protests is moderated.”

It appears that a terror-supporting organization, with links to organizations involved in terrorism, is tasked with influencing Meta’s algorithm, policies and community guidelines, and receives funding to this end, and is actively trying to impact Meta in a way that could negatively affect Israel.

TPS’ requests for comments from Meta and Facebook were ignored.

Getting desperate?
None of those attacks were by militias, most look to be by racists but quite a few by those supporting Palestinian human rights.
Shouting 'Free Palestine' is only echoing the views of our government and the UN, that the settlements and occupation is illegal.

This is what militia like terrorist gangs look like.

Yes. You and groups who back BDS are obviously against coexistence and finding common ground no matter how many times you try to pretend you are.

And sadly you and Amnesty UK don't care what Palestinians want and are too elitist to admit Palestinians have agency. It's no wonder why Amnesty UK was condemned for the 'white saviour' complex.

Nice, now you're attacking Amnesty!

That's one more rung down the ladder for you.
One more step down the Botha South African anti-apartheid experience.

That just makes you sound more and more like a pariah each day.
Damn those human rights organizations and their reports, you say!

CM's article is suspect, none of the events are cited or clear.

And none of those even are worth considering in comparison to the Flag March, as you well know.

No, Amnesty is criticizing Amnesty. This was based on an internal report.
Why do you think Amnesty should be above criticism when their own reports state they have a problem with white privilege and that many of them view the world in the exact same colonial mindset that existed in Victorian era.

If it happens, I'll condemn it.
Wait. Are you trying to claim that Hamas doesn't openly call for attacks on Jews and the removal of Jews from the region?
