I'm disappointed, fuck the mayor ,his stupid cafeto and bike lanes should be removed, the pandemic is basically over, no more cafeto and activeto crap.
Bike lanes should be removed, not only the Danforth, all over the city, hardly people used the bike lanes at all.

Not so much the patios, as the curb lanes were often used... the bike lanes with their curbs eating up a lot of real estate, leaving the two center lanes only, which Toronto Fire and the EMS demanded not be used for tents and displays in case vehicles had to get up them.
City claimed it would take 9 days (?) to remove and replace the concrete barriers and bike lane separators to make it doable. Also how were the physically challenged expected to maneuver over and around the bike curbs ?
John Tory and his minions dug in their heels, and this is the result. One of the councilors said other street festivals do it - name one that has both patios and bike lanes - College Street - nope. St Clair West - nope. Wong-Tam is stating Pride is doing it - the only section they have to deal with is Bloor St from Church to Yonge... show me patios and bike lanes down Yonge South of Bloor to Dundas.

This is a bad decision. Its time to get back to normal. Those businesses can desperately use the foot traffic this festival brings. Not to mention its cultural impact. I wouldn't doubt if that left wing nut Paula Fletcher had a say in this since its her ward.
Whoever decided to add bike lanes on the Danforth obviously never drove a vehicle. When following a car or bus that attempts to make a left turn it is impossible to go around the vehicle to pass it and continue on your way causing many delays. Also, just as bad is Woodbine Avenue having bike lanes on another very busy bus route. I have nothing against bike lanes but don't reduce vehicle lanes for the low number of cyclists. I have been to Copenhagen a number of times where hundreds of people cycle to and from work every day and there are no traffic issues. Perhaps our city planners should visit there to see how it works. Lastly, the big difference there is cyclists there OBEY the rules of the road.
I stopped making the proper hand signal for a right turn on my bike because nobody understands the signal. Instead, I simply use my right arm to point to my right.
(One of my pet peeves are cyclists who pass me on the right side instead of on the left.)
I still don't know the proper etiquette when you are riding behind a naked female cyclist.
Patio is so 2020, 2021, the pandemic is bascically over, we can dine in now.
remove all the cafeto crap and the bike lanes.
In 2019 they was none of that crap on the Danforth
