I see prices pop due to war. I wonder how close is Russia to ending their special mission... Seems dead locke per news.

The war will extend at least until the US election to justify wrong O&G policies and the ESG agenda. LNG will go a lot higher, especially when EU declared it "green" a few months ago and probably we will follow. The whole O&G sector will eventually get re-rated to allow access to capital once again.

Not much will change for nat gas when war ends. Europe will continue weening themselves off Russian ng.

Natural gas pricing I predict to pop higher in Canada as rest of world now wants gas we produce to offset what once came from Russia.

Demand is not just in liquid form. Natural gas goes into making a lot of plastic molding pellets, too.

There is no green energy this is a mirage. A pipe dream that produces nothing. No ones investing in new Fossil fuel because of the cost/time and no government support. When they figure out solar panels produces no power and are extremely toxic it will be to late. Oil and natural will remain very high also a great investment.

If it is not liquified, it goes toward the area of lower pressure. If it is liquified, it goes the same way where ship is going.

Wouldnt lng prices go down if declared green? I mean its the whole point of their climate change actions. To reduce production so they can jack up prices at will. Thats how monopolists work! Reduce production through regulation. Rothbard and Mises are probably rolling in their graves right now

We are contemplating getting open hearth fire place changed to a wood burning insert.
We like having the fire place on one night or two in week in the winter if it is not way cold outside.

The present arrangement puts most of the burned wood heat, and a bunch of the furnace warned air up the chimney.
An the rising cost of natural gas will make this get to be a too expensive habit.

Thin chance, but an insert could actually be used to cut back on natural gas use.
And there are lots of wood sources even in suburbia if you are willing to haul home and cut up non returnable pallets

Yes I have experience heating holiday properties in the past with wood, and know it comes with a ton of fuel management effort.

Problem is we can't get our gas to the rest of the world. We have no pipelines to the rest of the world. And no gas pipelines to supply the LNG facilities on coasts that we also don't have. Because all the smart people are opposed to pipelines, opposed to oil and gas, and think that we can magically be transformed...perhaps by all turning green and processing sunlight in our green skins.

Let Mr. Musk work on that. He can do anything!

Though it’s quite an old thread, I’d like to chime in. It's always tough to predict where natural gas prices are headed, especially when it comes to global events like wars and political tensions. Talking about the natural gas industry, many factors can affect the prices of the commodity, including geopolitical tensions and supply and demand. I understand that you're particularly interested in the situation with Russia and its special mission, and I hope things start to clear up soon. On a slightly different note, have you heard about the latest advancements in technology, like the rotary table for drilling rig? It's fascinating to see how innovations are helping to improve efficiency and safety in the industry.

So much new tech in the drilling biz indeed. Biggest area of innovation is to separate and treat produced water from the petroleum, Many wells with plenty of oil/gas are uneconomical because of produced water.

But the rotary table has been around for as long as modern drilling has been going on. Most new rigs use a 'top drive'.

Or was there something special about the rotary table you linked to that I am missing?
