fair pointIf theft is deserving of death, I wonder if our macho-men also think that applies to white collar crime.

Agree completely.??? The MSM headlines called them home invasions. The three separate victims were slashed at and/or stabbed ffs. What more do you want lol.
Have you rewritten the definition of “home invasion” that it must result in MURDER to be deemed so?
HOME INVASION just means the perpetrator(s) entered the dwelling while the inhabitants are home.
I think you’re stuck in the olden days when five masked, black-clad triad gang members targeted wealthy victims, tied them up, pistol whipped them, then beat and/or killed them.
Welcome to the 21st century where home invasion is defined as a home robbery when the inhabitants are AT HOME, which of course has a much higher incidence of violence for obvious reasons.
And trust me, if you (or someone you love) ever wake up in the night with a feeling of cold dread that someone’s IN YOUR HOUSE, you’ll wish you were able to defend yourself.
Learn the legal differences between theft, fraud, and robbery. There is something called laws (and morals). Thankfully Canada doesn't implement the castle doctrine or stand your ground like the US.

Do not twist the words. Noone is advocating for the death penalty. But if the only way to stop a crime is to shoot, people have the right to shoot. There is something called laws (and morals). Thankfully Canada doesn't implement the castle doctrine or stand your ground like the US.

Why U.S. has nuclear weapons? How often they have used it? Same with guns: a few use at the beginning will make future wannabe criminals think twice. For those of you who would like to arm yourself with a firearm for protection ask yourself the question.
How many times in your life have you needed a weapon to defend yourself?
For me the answer is zero.
Ask most police officers in Toronto how often they've had to use their gun. Almost all of them will say never. For those of you who would like to arm yourself with a firearm for protection ask yourself the question.

Of course police officers should be armed, Who said they shouldn’t be.Ask most police officers in Toronto how often they've had to use their gun. Almost all of them will say never.
I still want them to be armed. How about you?
I see you missed the point, which already answered your final question.Of course police officers should be armed, Who said they shouldn’t be.
The average citizen does not need to be armed. Take yourself for instance how many times have you needed a gun to protect yourself.
I haven’t missed any point.I see you missed the point, which already answered your final question.
Regarding a "need" to be armed. Nobody said you need to be armed. You choose not to be armed and that's your prerogative.
Whether I have or have not is irrelevant. That is the point. Nobody thought they'd run out of toilet paper pre-covid either. But in life, shit happens.I haven’t missed any point.
The question to you is how many times have you needed a gun to protect yourself?
You posted about a robbery in response to my comment about home invasion murders and you're confused why I pointed out the difference???? The MSM headlines called them home invasions. The three separate victims were slashed at and/or stabbed ffs. What more do you want lol.

It's very rare in Canada to have your home broken into and almost unheard of for their intent to be murder. In those rare occasion where someone is trying to rob your house and you happen to be home, it's far more sane just to get out of their way, call the cops, and your insurance company instead of wanting to get a gun and killing them.If theft is deserving of death, I wonder if our macho-men also think that applies to white collar crime.
Except breaking into somebody's home isn't theft. It is invasion. If it happens, according to your doctrine you shouldn't panic or second guess their intent. They have only broken in to your home. So far no harm has been done.
Wife and kids are there. Sure. But why not give them the benefit of the doubt until they start raping the wife and kids. Just play along until they play their cards.
The problem is that such robbers are not the most rational man. Often high/drunk. You do not want to be close to them, so, sometimes, simply going outside the house is not easy (you cannot fly through the window). Sometimes they may change their mind about why they are there and decide to rape your wife/daughter. Sometimes they may simply do not like how you look. I would rather shoot than try to figure out how sane the person who broke into my house is. How many cases in Canada where you've seen a home invasion with the intent of killing someone? I'm sure there are some drug dealers getting ripped off and I'm sure there are a few cases where someone got hurt trying to confront a robber but invasions where murder was the intent are essentially unheard of. Only one I found is some girl in 2010 hired someone to kill her parents.

In Toronto alone, 2800 homes were broken into last year. It's very rare in Canada to have your home broken into
I posted an article about three “home invasions” as stated in the news headline. The inhabitants were @ home, the perps invaded with a weapon and slashed/stabbed the victims. You posted about a robbery in response to my comment about home invasion murders and you're confused why I pointed out the difference?
