What's up with the Ottawa scene?

The girls don't want to give half the take to a glorified secretary. Can't say I blame them.
The ones who charge reasonable rates. With the exception of a few outliers most providers who charges very high prices do not make a living exclusively from this work and can afford to charge whatever they like. The ones who do this for a living typically keep their rates reasonable because they have to conform to supply and demand.
It's not difficult to see why - cost of living is super high now. Therefore prices have gone up. Therefore, people hobby less. Bit of a catch-22 for providers. Raise prices and get less clients, or keep prices at 2019 levels and possibly be inundated with requests and not be able to keep up.
Ottawa is still suffering the after effects of Covid 19, the trucker's convoy and a lack of tourism. Until things pick up there's no sound economic reason to build an agency here. Just take a look at the restaurant scene downtown - business is slow and its not getting any better yet. Friends in the hospitality business tell me that hotel bookings are still way behind 2019 levels. And the feds decision to keep the travel restrictions until the end of June doesn''t help.
When things eventually return to normal (eg. Hosting large conventions, tourism and downtown activities returning to normal times) perhaps then there will be a solid reason to develop and manage an agency here.
In the meantime, there are 3/4 talented massage parlour operators that have capitalized on the Ottawa scene. They are obviously treating their ladies well and the ladies that want/need to work more often get the chance to do just that in a safe, secure location. For those that seek full services, Leo List gives you the opportunity to search and potentially reach the type of lady that you want to see BUT, as has been pointed out, there are scammers throughout. As there is in any business, there are bad apples that make life miserable for both those in the business and the clients that become their targets.
TERB offers us a chance to share info and limit our bad experiences. Let's continue to stick together folks.

It's excruciatingly slow for everyone, we're most likely heading into a recession, even the online only SWs are feeling how slow it is.
I've never experienced Ottawa being this slow in almost a decade working here.
Actually the sps were very busy with the truckers presence and Right now we are far from getting back to normal
We live in a city which for decades has been run on the assumption that suburban commuters will be traveling downtown to work. COVID wrecked that, and with the federal departments still allowing most workers to stay home a lot of business models will have to change. Sex work is one of them.
The problem is WFH took the opportunity away from a lot of people. It's easier to hide it from your wife when you take a long lunch at work. When you're no longer going into the office it's more difficult to come up with an excuse to leave the house for an hour.
Lol at someone suggesting it's due to the after effects of the trucker convoy.
I wouldn't say it's due to the convoy specifically, but personally speaking the convoy destroyed my income and business and I almost lost my home because of how much the convoy effected work.
I also know others who host downtown with similar issues.
The convoy made an already shakey situation worse for many of us.

The normal busy hours for Ottawa used to always be Monday-Friday from morning to evening because of all the government workers, weekends were usually not as busy since weekends were days off to spend with family.
Now daytime is dead for work and weekends are busier("busier" is relative here though since it's still very dead all around) - the market has changed a lot with COVID and people working from home now.
The convoy completely fucked anyone working or living in the downtown core. That was miserable.
I've said it before guys, start a real hobby that gives you an excuse to leave the house without questions. You need to go to that shop across town or there's a big hobby sale out of town etc Maybe SPs can keep a selection of model airplane kits to give away to their clients
Personally, none of the listed factors have contributed to my hiatus. For me, it's simply due to the lack of viable options in Ottawa. Finding a pretty lady with large breasts that offers bbbjcim seems to be akin to finding a Unicorn. I've been saving my money for TO, which is only weeks away
