Grace you may not remember when Bob Ray became premier of Ontario he and the NDP party put this province into so much debt it took decades to recover. I don't know what the answer is TO Ford but I know it's not the NDP

Chances are it will be a Conservative Majority. In my riding it will be NDP. The Conservative candidate in my riding has no chance.

Nah. If the Liberals spent too much for my liking, the NDP certainly would. Crazy the amount of damage Bob Rae did in such a short time period.
Yes, even the union’s turned on him when he brought in the “Rae days”.

this is what i remember from Ford and the Conservatives
Cutting Gas Tax Payments
Water Treatment Plants cuts
Autism file..neglect and indifference.
Legal Aid cuts
Public Health cuts
cuts to the Library system
tree planting and flood preparation cuts
cutting child care funding
cutting aid to The Children,s Aid Society
cuts to Cancer care
Public Transit cuts to Seniors and Students
all this before the pandemic
and lets not forget the horrific preventable deaths in Long Term Care Homes during the Pandemic
long wait times for those who are seeking surgeries, including many children...putting peoples health at risk
but all Ford talks about is building highways using Billions of dollars to make his wealthy donors happy, and wreaking havoc on the environment
The Conservatives dont deserve re election...but sadly that,s what is going to happen...

Stephen Harper of the Conservatives ran 7 years of deficit and left this country in a huge mess. Why do you vote conservative sir?
I don't always vote conservative. However, I never vote NDP because their leaders have no experience running significant businesses, nevermind an entire economy, AND they don't have ANY advisers around them to help. Their contribution is therefore limited to opposition.

Don't hire a construction labourer to program your computer. Don't hire a social justice warrior to run a complex economy.

Well, it was either have unpaid time off or cut thousands of jobs. It sucked. But, Rae inherited a recession. And it is fair to say that being in power is a lot more difficult than in the opposition. Easier to slam a policy than create one.

All that being said....I'm not happy With Ford. A lot of this shit is going to burn us years down the road. People can't afford cancer-screening bloodwork will die. Or they will need more treatments and swamp our healthcare system. Then I look at that planned 417 highway (or whatever its called), and the fact that it will not help with a commute at all....and a bunch of Dougies donors have bought parcels of land along the route to put in subdivisions or other things. For the most part, I wouldn't call the government corrupt for the most part....maybe just incompetent? I remember how they fucked up the autism portfolio. Then there is the school shit, where they had $4B of money they never used for COVID???

There is a lot not to like about Doug. The polls are showing a majority government...but the end result could surprise everyone. Truth be told, I don't see the Liberals getting enough seats to form a government...but maybe they work with the NDP for a coalition government...

Believe it or not, I sort of agree with you on this. Ford's lockdown policies greatly benefitted big corporations like Walmart (who he has ties to) and Amazon (and, not for nothin', Doug's own sticker operation), and totally screwed over small businesses, which included many gig-business operators who are not his supporters. The culling of small businesses which has been taking place, and will continue to take place as the last of the so-called "Covid supports" (translation - unsecured loans for the hopeful) are wound down, will cause long term damage to the economy as well as a further hollowing-out of middle class employment opportunities, which are the life blood of the tax base that pays for our socialized health care and other social supports.

My problem is - the Liberals, and especially the NDP, would have only done worse on this file. They'd still have us locked down. Dougie applied the knee restraint for about 7 minutes. The NDP would have applied it for 20!

well then you cant possibly vote for Pierre Poilievre......he has been a politician his entire life...........now having said that he may have run a lemonade stand when he was 10...........and anyway being a business man does not make you an expert on running a govt.............business and govt are 2 significantly different things
