We have the technology to restore masterpieces.
One of my favourite 60's songs from when I was a kid. Interesting to hear it again. Basically an average high school garage band until Eric Burden starts to sing and then it suddenly ascends to a whole different level. And then the organ kicks in and he's pretty damn good as well.

It's much better in the original Klingon.

Rarely do I like the cover more than the original but I do so with this version of Paint It Black, which is one of my favourite Stones songs.

Never liked house of the rising sun. Eric Burdon's singing grates on you after a short while. Can't imagine listening to him for a whole album. One trick pony musically. His career peaked somewhere around 1966. Because he is boring.
Alan Price went on to do some nice music. What with being a keyboard musician. I liked Hilton Valentine. The opening riff to "baby let me take you home" is killer.
That being said, this song kills.

Agreed. Weak song, but great opening riff.
Starting to feel the same about Lennon Mcartney. I think old age is kicking in. Starting to like the Stones a bit. Not all. But some of the hate is dwindling.

Robert, we are 2 old codgers talking about music made well over 50 years ago.....the phrase Boy Bands didnt exist back then ..but as a teen i was never interested in Beatles music..too much of a girly band imo...the Stones and the Animals were much tougher musically and i enjoyed their stuff..........i lost interest in the Stones when they started producing stuff like Mothers Little Helper and Ruby Tuesday et al.....The Animals?..they just seemed to disappear

LOL. I am really into BTS now. Korean girl at work loves them. I asked her what does BTS stand for Bi Trans sexuals? Boys to Sissies? My guess is Born To Suck.
She's not talking to me anymore.

As far as girl groups go, there is better than BTS.
