Airport area hotels might be your best bet as it's kind of in the center of Ottawa while avoiding downtown parking. When I see ads listed for St. Laurent it's far too east for me, and I imagine hotels in Kanata are far too west for those in the East. The Airport seems like a nice compromise.

The Holiday Inn East near St. Laurent mall is commonly used. May not be as affected by tourist rates in the summer and parking is easier
Agree. It's just off Hwy 417 on a aide street, quiet, out of the way but still easy to find. Quite popular with a lot of sps.

I admit I'm a little biased towards the ST. Laurent Hotels as they are close to me in east Ottawa :p

I am planning a few trips this summer and would love to see you.
Days Inn on Hunt Club is also a good option...a bit further east than Sandman and plenty of parking. 🐺
