Yup, the world is still laughing at that fool when he was talking about injecting disinfectants into the body. Bozo the Clown was funny, that doesn't mean he should be president....I would vote for Bozo the Clown, rather than Trump the Clown.
If you told MAGA types that they would live forever if they injected muriatic acid, would they do it?

I would vote for George Costanza.

You need to learn to distinguish between statements which badly explain medical science vs.advocate bad science. Frankly, I don't expect Presidents to be good spokespersons about any techical aspects of medical science. That's what doctors are for. However, there's probably a reason why Americans have never elected a doctor as President. Doctors are valued advisors, but their training and professional experience doesn't prepare them for leadership.
OMG, that's utterly ridiculous! Nobody was talking about any medical treatments using disinfectants, they were talking about how disinfectants kills the virus on surfaces(cleaning). Only dumb Donald got up there musing about injecting bleach into the body, not because dumbass couldn't explain some scientific theory/practice, It's because he's STUPID! After the clown got called out on his stupidity and avoiding the media for days, then he comes out with the lie he was only being "sarcastic." I guess next, you are going to tell us how Trump University was a great American institution of higher learning.

If absolutely everything you believe was true (which it isn't), you're still making much ado about nothing. I'm no doctor, but I know TDS when I see it!

However, the truth was that Trump was merely musing about the potential to develop Covid treatments quickly, and, as an illustration, was tabling his understanding of a treatment (which he didn't understand or explain very well) as an example of the medical ingenuity of medical science that might be used to treat Covid. The doctors who were with him, of course, stated that the treatment he was talking about was not being explored for Covid treatment. If you didn't comprehend that, you've never, even after all this time, understood what happened at that press conference.

That....is quite the piece of revisionist history. You may want to believe anything negative is TDS, but you obviously have no filter for his BS. You think everything he says is true. He wasn't musing. He was serious. He legitimately asked the scientists to study it, like he saw an obvious fix to the COVID situation. Sure, after the ridicule he comes out saying he was joking, but he looked pretty fucking serious when he said it. So much so that reports of bleach poisonings soared in the days after he said that. Now, MAGA supporters are probably not the sharpest tools in the shed, so I guess we can't be too shocked this happened. What is shocking is that his apologists are still defending him, like this is the hill they'll die on. Like this isn't the stupidest thing he said. Because....well, the variety and volume of stupid things he said is sort of breath taking. This is a man who:
  • Though China had developed weather technology and was sending hurricane's towards the US
  • Asking if they could nuke a hurricane
  • Lied about his speech to the boy scouts where he told inappropriate story and then claimed he was told it was the best speech they ever had
  • Claiming, not once but twice, that his dad was from Germany. His grandfather was...
  • Calling Tim Cook Tim Apple...
  • Calling JD Vance JD Mandel (recent)
  • Claiming the US forced captured airports during the Revolutionary War
  • Windmill noise somehow causes cancer???
  • Toilets and water flow??
Those are just a few I could think of off the top of my head. Lord knows there are probably a buttload more that I either suppressed or forgot about.

This B.S. only works in the MAGA world, not the real world where everybody knows Trump is a lying, stupid clown! The crap you are spewing is some of worst TDS I have ever heard, so you are saying Trump was lying when he said, "he was only being sarcastic?"

You're still missing the point.

You're also missing the point, and I've explained it pretty clearly, so there's not point repeating myself.

You seem to think the salient point is whether Trump has a big ego, doesn't understand science well, or exaggerates to make himself look better. It's not. This discussion is about how to interpret what is said, using context as guide, as necessary, to form a reliable characterization of what was actually communicated. Constraining oneself to a reasonable interpretation of events is hardly "defending" anything - except truth. Avoiding a reasonable interpretation is always to serve a narrative, rather than the truth.

You have no points, is he stupid or a liar?
I've already said he neither correctly understood the treatment he was referring to, nor did he explain it well. There wasn't anything more to it. I suspect that his understanding of the procedure he was trying to talk about was average (at least he knew something about it). If we had to call someone with that level of medical knowledge stupid, that would cover most people (and probably EVERY President).

Describing him as stating or recommending that household disinfectants be injected is a million miles away from the reality of what happened.

The answer is - Both.
The idiot said something stupid(which he does all the time), then he lied about it(which he does all the time)!
