Donald Trump "often" suggested shutting down all of the U.S. embassies in Africa, former Defense Secretary Mark Esper writes in his book.

Trump suggested in the summer of 2020 that Black Lives Matter protesters demonstrating outside the White House should be shot. The Times reported a few days later that Esper also wrote that Trump wanted to launch missiles into Mexico to destroy “drug labs.”

60 Minutes sent a list of questions to Trump about Esper’s claims. He responded to most of them by alleging “Fake News” and attacking Esper as a fake Republican who is “incapable of leading.” He refrained from making any such allegations or attacks in his response the question about whether he suggested launching missiles into Mexico.

“No comment,” the former president wrote.

I find it interesting that Trump repeatedly hired "weak and ineffective" people for key positions. I mean, I agree with him, but he seems to only realize it when they say anything mean about him. And, it is interesting how any negative news about Trump is a "hit piece," regardless if the facts are true or not.

Now, as Donnie boy has said, there were 10 people in some of those meetings....yet none of them have come out to deny what Esper said. So...If he was lying, I would imagine they would come to the defence of Donnie Boy. Yet all I hear are crickets. And remember, this story has been out for about a week (the shooting of protesters and the Mexican missile idea). The funny thing is, the GOP insists that Biden is in mental decline, but Trump has suggested these idiotic and dangerous ideas, asked about nuking a hurricane, and thought maybe people could inject bleach to fight covid....
