This is a great idea the DHS group. Horrible name as it gives license to the low info types. Disinformation and misinformation are the greatest threats to democracy out there. As Voltaire said: "Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."

To answer your question directly the ministry of truth will function on the prevailing ideology as defined by their paradigm lock or algorithm bubbles and limits.
