I have to admit, as I have said before, I’m only FB, which I don’t post often and only have for family connections and then TERB. I only use Twitter for advertising and even then I barely make it over there.
Oh and Apple news which just pops up news stories for me. I don’t do Instagram, TikTok, Snap, etc.

I remember seeing this Chris Rock fellow for the first time about 20 years ago in a Jackie Chan movie(I think it was a Chan movie). The guy would not shut up. One felt like seeing him get a knuckle sandwich to shut him up. But that doesn't mean that most of us would actually do it. Considering that he rates a 0 out of ten on my scale, he actually went up slightly in the way he handled it in the immediate aftermath. And while Rock did slow down, he didn't shut up but he did briefly become more tolerable in the subsequent 30 seconds. Probably back to normal now.
Never thought much of Will Smith either based on very limited viewing a long time ago. I guess he has become more famous for his work and maybe it is deserved, don't know. Hollywood was a lot of crap in the past and now it is woke crap, they don't get my money.
But in the end, just because Rock is a jerk does not justify violence. While I am certainly not surprised to see something like this happen, Smith should be charged with a crime.

From a fame and stardom status Will Smith towers over Jada. Apparently they had an open marriage. Jada fucked up and her transgressions got public.. Will should get rid of Jada just based on the public humiliation.
Today Will resigned from the Academy. It only means he can no longer vote, but he can attend the annual awards, be nominated, and keep his Oscar, unless the Academy decides otherwise in its upcoming deliberations.

Looks like you are right. I watched 30 seconds of them both on Youtube. Must be cousins. Opinion remains similar about them.
I was shocked that the Academy called the police. This was such a minor spat between 2 adult male "bros" that should have been resolved over a cup of coffee. Doesn't the Academy know that "progressives" don't call police anymore?

The youtube pundits are of course running with this. The best one I saw commented on how little is being said in US media on the damage that Donald Trump has done to the US. He used this incident as an example, a man walks up on a stage and slaps another man in the face, a little while later he is getting a standing ovation.
