The irony of it being at the Oscars where they give out awards for acting.
So this will be good for the next few days to talk about on legacy media and social media.

Will has god complex issues. He thinks he is the chosen one.
He knows Jada will never love him like she did with pac. This is driving him mad and he can’t hold it in anymore. Signs were there many years back and every time that passes it gets more intense. He still doesn’t know that the love he feels for her is the selfish kind he feels for himself because he believes he deserves her to love him like that and thinks he can get whatever he wants.
Regarding this knee jerk reaction it’s an embarrassment. It actually will make jadas condition and anxiety worse because of what will pulled.

He isn't running around saying it though. He made joke at the last Oscars and followed up with it his Oscars. In comedy it's called a call back. The Smiths knew they were a target for some ribbing as soon as Rock was announced.
I might have a little sympathy for Will Smith if Chris Rock was making fun of his kids.... Kids are off limits imo... Jada is a grown woman (who cheated on him)..... Not grounds for an assault.
I always found the Academy very controversial. I do not watch the Oscar for that reason.
On a different note, didn't know there was a movie about Richard Williams. Going to go watch it now...lol.
From that angle and in slow motion.... It actually look almost fake. I don't believe it was. It's just funny how angle and speed can affect a 2 dimensional medium like video.
If Will didn't like the fact him or his wife were being made fun of before, he better grow some thick skin because he's going to be the brunt of every comedians joke for the next 5 years.

Maybe the Oscars is trying to get more ratings since last year it did very miserable or very low ratings.
What's real is what an individual believes. One can believe it was real, one can't know for certain. I believe that Will Smith looked like an idiot. That I know for certain. Would a person willfully take part in a bit on stage that could potentially end his career and make him a social pariah... I highly doubt. Based on that... I agree it was not staged, and was a real loss of composure and subsequent assault.
