Ummm ok. How do you think Amazon, Uber, etc deliver goods and food to you?Seriously inefficient one person one car culture across North American cities boosts demand for petroleum, contributing to high gas prices. Not to mention insane traffic jams. Pandemic proved many people can work from home efficiently. Yet, people have congregated from the suburbs once again in these crazy skyscrapers as soon as the worst of the pandemic passed.
I dont have comparable figures for Canada but the US, with 4% share of global population, consumes 20% of oil produced, more than all of Europe.
I have been working from home for 20 years. Amazon, Voila, Uber Eats are my best friends. I fill up on average once a month. $2.0/liter gas or whatever? I dont care!
Exactly. Prices of products increases because of the insane increase in gas.Ummm ok. How do you think Amazon, Uber, etc deliver goods and food to you?
Fairy dust and unicorn farts?
You may not drive much, but you'll care.
And insane price of gas because 2 big producer are at war with each other.Exactly. Prices of products increases because of the insane increase in gas.
Yes. That is the reason but the other poster says he doesn’t care because he doesn’t drive. He is out of his mind if he doesn’t think he will still be paying one way or another. And insane price of gas because 2 big producer are at war with each other.
And insane price of gas because 2 big producer are at war with each other.
Translated from Russian:
"Gas prices up because deranged Russian Dictator invades democratic country in Europe. Rest of the world makes personal economic sacrifices to help end war without deranged Dictator launching nuclear bombs."
Ummm ok. How do you think Amazon, Uber, etc deliver goods and food to you?
Fairy dust and unicorn farts?
You may not drive much, but you'll care.
Compared with those driving daily QEW/401/400 to Gardner to downtown TO filling up more than once a week? PeanutsYes. That is the reason but the other poster says he doesn’t care because he doesn’t drive. He is out of his mind if he doesn’t think he will still be paying one way or another.

How can anyone take you seriously when you say stuff like this then contradict yourself in other posts such as the one I am quoting…it’s becoming quite clear that some people actually believe this ideology you hold. Maybe you have alternate personalities and can’t see your own ideological contradictions from one day to the next.
There was a good Indian show about this called sacred games where the cult of enlightenment elites thought this was a good idea to strategize a nuclear detonation. We call these people zen devils who actually achieve a level of enlightenment but use it to destroy rather then to improve thinking this is for the better good.
If you are really this disconnected from reality there is nothing more to say to you.
There is no joking about this because this is exactly what some people want and believe it will help slow down global warming. Hello McFly the world will still be here regardless of GGEs global warming or any other ideological projection or technological impact such as nuclear war. The people are what you guys keep ignoring in all of this ideology fantasy or dystopia and utopia.
This became clear when the news broke and how quickly people spread misinformation that it was leaking and and Chernobyl but 6x worse especially through the so called “reputable” sources. Why did they do it? One guess nato sets up no fly zones and gets involved. What happens next the reality of nuclear War significantly increases.
This is my exact point. To nottiboi you made sense but then to anabrandy you didn’t and posted a statement to show support for nuclear war being good for global warming.Sorry, but I sincerely don't understand what point you are making vis a vis my posts being hypocritical.
Sarchasm is hard to pull off so I'll try again.
I was mocking nottiboi's adjacent swipe at any country other than Russia as being at war and equally to blame for rising gas prices.
I tried to use humour to say that Putin was responsible and that the rest of the world was willing to pay more for gas as a step in progressive, non-violent deterrence. If NATO et l were to resort to military response, then the same people willing to pay for more expensive gasoline, would be at risk of nuclear war.
In the above message I was saying the risks and consequences of nuclear war are less than higher priced gasoline.
And I am 100% behind our world being powered by simple, safe nuclear power technology. It can heat our homes, power electric car, power our industry etc.
I was pointing out that there is an unreasonable fear of danger from nuclear power.
So... in writing this, I now think I get your point. And you made mine. Simple people conflate the dangers of nuclear war with nuclear power.
This is my exact point. To nottiboi you made sense but then to anabrandy you didn’t and posted a statement to show support for nuclear war being good for global warming.
One post you are against it and make sense why it’s important to pay the price and then in the other thread you don’t see how you fell for the misinformation train and why this is originating in your psyche to even post that statement.
I agree nuclear power is good for energy. War is bad. We need to pay the consequences to support efforts against Russia. Under no circumstances should nuclear war be used to combat global warming.
