Wasn't the real purpose of the act to bring in Police Forces from other jurisdictions without all the 'red tape' as Ottawa lacked the man power to clear the streets? It also compelled trucking companies to send equipment to tow the vehicles. Did a good job at scaring the shit out of some of the truckers too, they just pulled up anchor and left.

What ever method that was used to clear the streets it was worth it. Having the truckers camped out there looked worse on Canada that using some act to clear them out.

Now that the Act has been revoked, the Feds better move forward with their plans to drop the pointless mandates. :)

Provinces are removing restrictions. Unvaccinated Ontario police officers can return to work soon and I suspect many unvaccinated workers in other sectors can too. The federal mandates won't drop overnight, maybe by the summer or the end of the year. I'm waiting for them to stop testing for vaccinated travelers coming into Canada, Omicron has no borders. The next protest isn't about mandates anymore, it's about an insurrection and going after Justin's head.

Two things. They revealed their plans for the future by waking people up to the fact that in a digital ID world you can be effectively turned off at their will. People don’t like that idea.

Also clear that the Senate didn’t appreciate being told the reasons for keeping the EMA were “secret.”
