Knowing the Government, they were probably losing money on it at $120 a pop. Joking, not joking. How do they lose all that income?
Simple... By requiring you to renew your plate annually, pay outstanding fines, provide proof of insurance etc. They just don't charge you a $120.00 or provide a sticker. If your plate hasn't been renewed, the Cops can still issue a ticket.I wonder how they're going to collect traffic parking fines

Exactly and a year from now it will be back with a different name and doing the same thing. I am not voting for that CLOWN.there is an election in June,.
But then what clown do we vote forThis statement doesn't make sense.
I thought the "Sticker" for the plater on your car is a RECEIPT for paying for the plate for limited time of a year or two. I always paid for 2 years to avoid the increase.

The underdog. The FOURTH or FIFTH Party. This will rock heads everywhere. If you cut off the top 3 then Politics will change completely. But then what clown do we vote for
Where's my refund?
Both failed and that was in the states where they have a larger gene pool and God for bid a some nut case fringe party even gets one seat much becomes mainstreamThe underdog. The FOURTH or FIFTH Party. This will rock heads everywhere. If you cut off the top 3 then Politics will change completely.
Remember Ross Perot or Ralph Nader ?
There just transfer the cost /price to other admin fees like getting your license renewed. Its doubtful it will be equal or less. If it is equal it is still a good move as its one less form of paper work to deal with - even if really is just smoke and mirrors.Knowing the Government, they were probably losing money on it at $120 a pop. Besides it being an election year, it was nothing more than another tax on motorists. I'm glad it's gone. As for "lost revenue." Considering fuel prices have gone from $0.94 /L in 2020 to $1.60 /L now, the Province is already raking in significantly more in taxes from that alone. Drivers deserve a little break.
The sticker is just that, a sticker. You're issued an actual receipt or proof of payment depending on how you paid, online or in person. All the information is in the MOT's database. All the Cops have to do is run your plates to see if you've renewed your plates. They have technology to automatically scan plates as they're driving along. They don't even have to manually enter them anymore. The sticker is irrelevant. This statement doesn't make sense.
