So you guys are saying you'd be okay with people protesting QPC by foot, just not by car??
If you are saying QPC as opposed to QP and by on foot you mean they can block the roads on foot rather than vehicle then no. the park and even the lawn of the Legislature can accommodate thousands of protesters. But of cousre the goal of the truckers is not to protest but rather to attempt to force the government to capitulate.

Nope. Waiting for days to get your load across the border shuts down factories. They use trucks as their warehouse it is called Just in Time freight

You have a few hours window to get freight there

Windsor is the busiest truck border in the world

A garbage strike does no such thing
And when the Natives were doing the rail blockade. What about that one?

It went on far longer than this one, and no one lifted a finger to stop it for months. It had way more of an economic impact, as rail moves more per trip than trucks do. And, there wasn't another route the trains could take that was only an hour away.

But every political leader tip toed around that one for months on end even though it was way more economically impactful.
Why?

easing them isnt ending it, once they come up with the next fake variant and the enemy media props it out and puts out fake rising cases , we'll be back in square one
Oh please, stop being a Nancy Boy.

GiveSendGo says that the Ontario Government doesn't have jurisdiction to red flag their funds, Steve Bannon can take it to court.

Fundamental Freedoms

Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
(d) freedom of association.
Its been peaceful so far
So Monty, if I peacefully protest in your backyard for 2 weeks and set up a bouncy castle and make a bonfire there, but I'm peaceful, do I get to stay there forever?

It just took him two weeks...
I hear a lot of people blaming Trudeau for this situation, which I think is unfair. First, he has no obligation to meet with protesters, especially ones who originally were calling for the overthrow of the government. Second, Trudeau cannot do anything about the police service in Ottawa. And, he really couldn't call out the military for numerous reasons (both optically and legally). This was on Doug Ford from the get go. He did nothing. Was he waiting to see which way the wind was blowing, sort of like how Poilievre and Bergen changed their tune when internal polling probably showed national support for this protest was low...
You're being unfair to King Duggo the Great!

He was snowmobiling. That's a good enough reason in Duggo-land.

:geek: 🙀 😸 🐸 ;)

This is either gonna make or break Trudeau.
I hope it doesnt get resolved with police violence, but I can easily see this blow up in Justin's face

Really?
It didn't blow up in his fucking Father's face.

Big Daddy Trudeau suspended the rights of an entire Province, and rounded up 435 innocent people against due process or their charter rights, all for the actions of a measly 18 people. He treated an entire Province as if they were guilty for the actions of 18 people.

And he was fucking cheered for it. Because the sheep of this country were told it was in the interest of safety.

Just like Canadians were told it was in the interest of safety when citizens of Japanese decent were held in camps during WW2. Having their rights taken away.
Just like we are being told it is in the interest of safety to persecute those who choose not to undergo an experimental drug treatment today.

Canadians have a history of cheering their government on when they take away the rights of others.
Then 5 or 6 decades later we issue apologies for it, yet learn absolutely nothing.

Few people are willing to defend rights they aren't using. Ask the ALCU...

Where else could they protest?? Algonquin park??
No, they're allowed to protest at parliament hill. But they shouldn't be able to camp there, or snarl traffic for weeks. People here would lose their minds if BLM did it (I support BLM, but would not support this type of thing), and they would be right!

I think protesters sometime don't think of the optics of the PR. By inconveniencing people, you likely aren't winning support. And public sentiment is low for this protest.

While there has been little physical violence, they technically are breaking laws. Which, from my understanding, give police leeway to break up the protest. There are several bylaws they have broken (parking heavy trucks on city streets, blocking traffic, noice, open fires, storing fuel in areas not designated for it, the list goes on), and some of them are public health and safety issues.
