This definitely describes to a tee certain elements of right-wing Canadians, but not the majority of Canadians.
Speaking for myself, I've spent little time in the US, I don't consume US media, I am not jealous of America, nor to I have an inferiority complex about America. For the most part, I think about the USA as much as the average American thinks about Canada, which is not at all.

Unfortunately nothing can be done with people like this other than to make sure that they obey the rules of the society and are not allowed to menace, threaten or terrorize Canadian citizens or elected governments.
This has been a long time coming, groups who are petrified at their loss of power and status and feel a sense of entitlement to be above the law, MAGA movements and their Canadian equivalents that wish to skirt our democratic process. A nascent civil war on both sides of the border has begun which started on January 6, 2021 in American and is in Canada now with the occupation of Ottawa and the Canada US bridge in Windsor. Vaccine mandates are just a smoke screen.
