Name your top 3 beefs with the Trudeau era. Scheer would have been 100x worse. O'Toole about 45x worse Harper about 2x worse
I am not limited to three.
you either defend him for all or you don't support him

To be perfectly honest I have lost count
It has been a non stop clown show from day 1

Justin Trudeaus legacy is cast in stone, He is the worst PM in our history and he was never ready for the responsibilities of the position

His biggest fault:.... He is a moron

From someone who is not born Canadian, and who is therefore a bit on the outside: From the first day I arrived in Canada, I have always noticed that most Canadians want to be like Americans.

There is some jealousy or inferiority complex in place.

It does not matter if it is something good or bad coming from USA, many Canadians are eager to embrace it. rump is an example, white supremacy is another.
Canadian white supremacy is hardly an import to CA, unless you consider it from the colonists on. Almost no black Canadians to begin with, so racism has been more directed at first nations...

From what I understand Sparta is Madness.
No country wants to end up like Sparta, dumb machismo has no rewards. It could have evolved into a modern metropolis like Athens and Rome, unfortunately it made a lethal mistake. The Spartans thought it would be great fun to join King Pyrrhus's invasion of Italy.

Like I said before, I thought Stephen Harper was a good PM, Mike Duffy fucked him up. Sweet Pea would be an awesome PM. 🤪

I tolerated Harper until he had to appeal to the social conservatives and brought in Bill C-36. Glad we voted him out.

Funny, I'd say that someone who claims they are against a politician but can't name 3 reasons why other than 'he is a moron' isn't too bright himself or is acting entirely on 'ideology'.

The funny part is that you have to ask that question.

  • Months of delays in getting vaccines because Trudeau signed a secret deal with China to make vaccines that the Chinese reneged on.
  • Ethical violations involving the WE Charity scandal, another involving the abrogation of the rule of law to mitigate charges against SNC-Lavalin for years of corrupt practices and another one after Trudeau took a luxury holiday freebie from the Aga Khan, whose organization ended up getting millions in grants from Ottawa.
  • The recent $5.2-billion bailout of the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project in Newfoundland — which should never have been built and will never make money if finished.
  • Millions spent travelling and giving away foreign aid in pursuit of a useless, temporary seat on the UN Security Council.
  • Pledging $2.65 billion at a Commonwealth Leaders Summit to fight climate change even though Canada’s massive wetlands, farmland and vast forests act as a carbon sink.
  • Pledging $840 million to Syria for humanitarian assistance when so many Indigenous reserves in Canada don’t have clean drinking water.
  • Imposing draconian regulations and taxes on oil from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland, but not on oil from Saudi Arabia.
  • Imposing tough environmental assessments on new infrastructure projects, except in the case of a cement plant in Quebec.
  • Attempting to hand an unneeded sole-source contract to WE Charity for nearly $1 billion after Trudeau’s mother and brother received around $300,000 from it for speaking gigs.
  • Proroguing Parliament and frustrating any attempts to investigate Liberal mismanagement.

You get more marks than larue!

Still, none of those are real scandals and all were part of why Trudeau got reelected.
WE was a nothingburger, climate change funding is popular.

The Conservative Party will likely kneecap this guy before the next election as they come to realize that as he placates the right wing elements and jacks them off, he also simultaneously moves the Conservatives away from the centre and makes them even less likely to even get a minority government. This is Canadian politics and the Cons seem apt to continue on the path of self cannibalism.

That's some subtle shade, given what a shitshow Sparta was.
The one thing Sparta had going for it is that it was egalitarian - at least if you were a member of the master class and not a slave. Hard to compare that with the massive inequality of the modern USA.

But the idea of President Bone-Spurs as King Leonidas is pretty funny!

The flabby guy with bone spurs would not have done well in a martial society without lawyers.

Given the homoerotic context of Spartan culture, he would probably have been passed around and used by the more muscular, hard-bodied, physically aggressive men.

It's what they really want, they are so radical they will join the states, Alberta that is.
Idealogical, Alberta Evangelical groups have already joined MAGG movements. America doesn’t want the responsibility of the Alberta oil sands clean up. Most foreign capital has exited Alberta and even though Alberta is pumping a lot of oil, they have no foreign buyers except American that will only purchase it only if at a deep discount.

Well that would leave BC isolated
Quebec would be pissed as they suddenly would not have a source for their transfer payments extortion money
Sask and Manitoba would likely jump ship to avoid being stuck with the bill

Why you want to break up what should be the greatest country in the world is a mystery
Yes Alberta continues to get shafted by the glaring inequities of transfer payments to Quebec but recently Alberta has falling on sustained hard times and is receiving a lot of financial aid from Ottawa .
