Share prices dropped %26. Zuck personally lost $29 billion dollars, just another day in a billionaire's life. Billionaire problems....shit!

Facebook is a declining platform. It still has a lot of daily users, but very few new people join it so their user base is declining as younger people move to more visual platforms (IG, Snap and TikTok). It would be a good option for a long term short if it didn't have such significant cash reserves to prop it up. I could see them going on a spending spree looking at buying whatever is going to come after TikTok. It certainly worked for them with Instagram.

Good buying opportunity.
It's on sale
I share this same sentiment ! This is the perfect opportunity to buy in.

People are in denial that we are in the middle of another industrial revolution.
With this fourth IR , the digital age will undoubtedly continue to rise - you can't go wrong in investing long-term :)

I agree with the sentiment but what's to stop Fb from going MySpace?
Significant cash reserves mean that they can afford to buy new social media platforms like they did with Instagram. It's the only way they can stay afloat going forward, after they try to extract more revenue out of Whatsapp.

The biggest issue is that Apple recently set ad tracking off by default and Facebook estimated that it lost about 10 billion worth of ad revenue from that alone. Google is also supposed to set ad tracking off by default for android OS and chrome browser in the near future. Without targetted ad tracking, people will just go back to google search as their bread and butter ad platform like it was before FB took over.

It's not the VR, it's Mark Zuck, everyone is tired of his company selling our data. I have VR use HTC Vive but will never get on Meta.
I have the original vive and it is sh*t compared to my oculus quest 2. I bought a wifi 6 router just for it and stream my PC VR games to it, it can also play native VR games on the headset without the need for a PC. It is dirt cheap compared to other vr headsets and the user experience is very good if you stay within their own ecosystem of games that run natively on the headset, everything just works.
