His books and lectures address that issue by helping young men to rise above the mire. I get that you were sliding an attempt at derision, but I won’t waste my time. My advice to you is to think independently, unfettered by propaganda, by reading him and watching his videos.
You should take your own advice, unless you like being told to "make your bed".

Nope. I read his books, attended several lectures, watched his videos, and met him briefly. I am good.
It’s an interview…

But it’s interesting you just finished accusing someone of judging books they haven’t read, and movies they haven’t seen.

Have a great day!

When you call someone a drug addict what is the very first thing that comes to mind? I tell you what. It's the Rob Ford comparison you used. Which is an attempt to smear and marginalize.

Caffeine a powerful drug right? A large percentage of the population is dependent on it to get through their day. Would you call them addicts? I guess by your logic if you stopped drinking coffee you're still an addict?
Are comparing caffeine to benzos? How many people had to be put in a coma or go to rehab for caffeine addiction?

Is someone who stopped drinking still an alcoholic? Yes. Once an addict, always an addict.

So your assertion is that someone who was dependent on clonazepam for a period of time therefore craves them for life?

So are you trying to say people can't get addicted to prescription drugs?? So what's the difference between being addicted to pills from a script and street drugs? His family, his daughter, and even Peterson himself have openly admitted his addiction (they say dependent), which makes one wonder why you're in such denial over it?

About 25 sec. in.

Once an addict, always an addict.
Righties strongly condemn drugs, but make some exceptions for right wing cultural icons like Rush Limbaugh, Elvis and Generalissimo Francisco Franco...

Jordan Petterson could possibly be the most arrogant person on earth...but it is tough on him being so self-righteous and morally superior to everyone.

No, it is much more simple than exceptions. Righties are OK with RICH people doing drugs - and doing everything else - it is the poor people who they want to throw the book at.

ROTFLMFAO!! Condemned? Some do. A good portion of "righties" advocate and has advocated for the longest time for decriminalization- including me- who loves drugs. The current President, of course, voted and strongly advocatted for the crack down on dealers and users(his son excluded, naturally)- especially the black ones. So did his VP. I guess that makes them "righties" too.

Sounds like you have a lot of experience with addictions.......Enlighten us please.
On sunny days with the wind behind your back there is no vestige of addiction, when things get tough and everything is falling apart around you and you just want something to take the edge off that is when you have to fight off the demon.

Let's not kid ourselves what this is all about. The Canadian "intelligentsia" set really hates JP because he charted his own course without bowing to them. The fact that he became very famous outside of Canada(a surest sign of success for the affirmation seeking insecure Canadians) and the fact that he literally made boats of cash in the process only makes it that much worse. To quote Johnny Rotten: " YOU'RE JEALOUS, YOU'RE FUCKING JEALOUS!!!".

Why would you say that?

His financial success is due to his self-help books. I'm sure many other profs would appreciate the extra money, but it's not academically threatening.

And "charting his own course"?..... It seems that he has some eccentric ideas of male gender superiority, which most educated folk these days would find bizarre and offensive. And that aside, he rides the usual rightie hobby horses of disliking "pronouns" and "diversity". That might get him on the Rogan show, but it's not going to scare anyone with his academic creds. It's standard rightie whine-o-sphere crap.
