When I got rid of Rogers phone, I started getting calls from a phishing company in the Indian subContinent pretending to be calling from Rogers in Mississauga. There was a long delay when I asked them what time it is, and what the current weather is like. If you are a former customer of a Rogers service, they always try to find out the name of your new provider.

Since I switched to rogers mobile that number constantly calling claiming they are calling on the behalf of rogers. Who are these people?
Most likely phishing. Call Rogers directly to confirm that.

If so, block that number on your phone.

They told me to forward phishing e-mails that are supposedly from Rogers to abuse@rogers.com.

They won't help you if it's Rogers doing the phishing.

A few years ago, I got a call on New Years Day around 6:00 AM from a phishing company in the Indian subcontinent that was associated with Rogers. I have phone and Internet from Teksavvy. Teksavvy subcontracts phone service from Bell, and their cable Internet is bought in bulk from Rogers, then sold at a much lower price than Rogers charges their own customers. There's a cache at Bell that retains the phone numbers of the last ten incoming calls received. I asked Teksavvy to retrieve from Bell the number of my last incoming call, so that the unmasked source of the phishing attempt could be exposed, but they wouldn't help me. They know who butters their bread.

Very likely this is a combinaion sales pitch and phishing expedition. You're a Rogers customer on a service; they'll try to entice you to switch to Rogers for your other communication devices. They'll also want to know which alternative providers your using, as if that's any of the business of someone making a cold call.
